Purpose To provide a forum for clinical researchers to share and discuss the impact of research on clinical practice and patient outcomes. Target audience This conference has been developed for staff nurses, advanced practice nurses, educators, managers, administrators, and students involved or interested in enhancing clinical practice or patient outcomes through research. Keynote speaker Dr. Marianne Chulay is a consultant in clinical research in critical care nursing who assists hospitals to implement and maintain an applied nursing research program which facilitates bedside clinician involvement in research projects. She has twenty-five years of experience as a mentor of clinician research teams engaged in projects to improve patient care. Dr. Chulay is co-author of Research Strategies for Clinicians and designer and editor of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) Protocols for Practice and Practice Alerts. Continuing education This activity has been submitted to WNA CEAP for approval to award 5.5 contact hours. Wisconsin Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation.
