1 DRAFT AGENDA THE NATIONAL NURSING CENTERS CONSORTIUM presents: Wednesday, November 11: Pre-Conference Workshops (optional; select via registration page) 1:00 4:00 pm Running a Nurse-Managed Health Clinic 101 Creating a successful nurse-led practice requires specialized skills beyond those acquired in nursing education programs. In this workshop facilitated by experienced nurse leaders and NNCC staff, participants will get a broad overview of key business, policy, clinical, financial, and operational factors to consider in running a nurse-led practice. Instructors will highlight resources available to aid participants in planning, implementing and sustaining nurse-led care models. In the final hour of the workshop participants will create a SWOT analysis of their individual situation, assisted by course faculty. Incorporating legal services into team -based care demonstrates a positive return on investment as well as improved health outcomes. In this workshop, facilitated by NNCC staff, NNCC members, and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership, participants will learn how to implement this nationally recognized model in their nurse-led practices. This plenary session will highlight efforts to grow the nursing workforce, while deploying nurses at the center of interprofessional teams, as well as strategies to overcome challenges by aligning nationally behind a shared agenda for success.
