1 DRAFT AGENDA THE NATIONAL NURSING CENTERS CONSORTIUM presents: Wednesday, November 11: Pre-Conference Workshops (optional; select via registration page) 1:00 4:00 pm Running a Nurse-Managed Health Clinic 101 Creating a successful nurse-led practice requires specialized skills beyond those acquired in nursing education programs. In this workshop facilitated by experienced nurse leaders and NNCC staff, participants will get a broad overview of key business, policy, clinical, financial, and operational factors to consider in running a nurse-led practice. Instructors will highlight resources available to aid participants in planning, implementing and sustaining nurse-led care models. In the final hour of the workshop participants will create a SWOT analysis of their individual situation, assisted by course faculty. Incorporating legal services into team -based care demonstrates a positive return on investment as well as improved health outcomes. In this workshop, facilitated by NNCC staff, NNCC members, and the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership, participants will learn how to implement this nationally recognized model in their nurse-led practices.
