Trip Overview Headquartered in beautiful Lake Tahoe, California (elevation 6,225 ft.), the Rubicon Trail Adventure takes you on a journey through some of the most challenging off-road terrain in the world. Leading your group will be a hand-selected Trail Guide team. For two days on the Rubicon Trail you ll be given personal driving instruction by off-road legend and Off-Road Hall of Fame founder Rod Hall. Rod s iconic victories at the Baja 1000 races have secured his position as one of the most recognizable figures in the off-road industry. Your group will stay at one of Lake Tahoe s premier full-service resorts, the Resort at Squaw Creek. The Resort at Squaw Creek boasts its own championship 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, heated outdoor pool, horseback riding and spa. These amenities allow guests to bask in true mountain luxury and comfort. Lake Tahoe is one of the world s premier vacation destinations and is home to the largest alpine lake in North America. On Friday, August 12 th you ll be shuttled to the Rod Hall DRIVE experience at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Reno, NV. Designed by legendary off-road racer and 4x4 expert, Rod Hall DRIVE was created to help the next generation of racers, enthusiasts, and automotive professionals develop winning habits that will get you, your business, or your team to the finish line ahead of your competition. You ll spend the following two-days tackling the trail by which all others are measured - the mighty Rubicon Trail. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most challenging) the Rubicon Trail is rated a true 10. After a scenic helicopter flight to Loon Lake, you ll put your Jeep 4x4 into 4LO and drive a grueling 8-miles to Rubicon Springs Base Camp. Drivers and vehicle test their capability as they inch their way slowly over large boulders and carefully navigate on the edge of sheer drop-offs.
Trip Overview con t One night of camping at Rubicon Springs Base Camp ensures a well-needed rest from the day s activities. Participants are welcomed into camp with the calming background music of a baby grand piano. Some participants prefer to freshen up in the historic Rubicon River. After a hearty dinner, participants share stories around the campfire before they turn in for the night in their own tents, complete with comfortable cots, air mattress and a warm sleeping bag with pillow. On Sunday morning, after an early wake-up, participants are prepared a breakfast by our staff for the long drive back to Lake Tahoe. After returning to the hotel, the group will have an opportunity to freshen up and enjoy some of the on-site activities offered by the resort. Nothing can prepare you for the shear thrill of the Rubicon Trail Adventure. There s no offroad trail anywhere in the world that can be compared to the unprecedented challenge of the Rubicon Trail. August 11 Reno / Squaw Valley Arrive Reno International Airport (RNO). Make your way to The Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe (Squaw Valley). Transportation to/from Reno will be under your own arrangements Check-in to pre-registered rooms for two nights at the Jeep Jamboree hospitality desk. Bell services, maid and all gratuities are included Jeep Jamboree Welcome Reception in hotel. Light appetizers & program briefing
August 12 Rod Hall DRIVE After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel the group will depart Lake Tahoe for Reno, Nevada and participate in the Rod Hall DRIVE experience Enhance your off-road driving skills: Traction & throttle Hill climbing Steep descents Rocks Driving Accuracy Lunch in Reno. Late afternoon arrival back to The Resort of Squaw Creek Group dinner will be hosted on-site at the resort. A trail briefing on the Rubicon Trail will also be provided
August 13-14 - Rubicon Trail August 13 th : Depart the hotel at 7:00 AM via helicopter. Estimated flight time 10 minutes to the starting point of the Rubicon Trail (Loon Lake). Meet up with your Jeep 4x4 (Jeep Wrangler JK models). Put your Jeep 4x4 into 4LO and drive 8 grueling miles to our Rubicon Springs Base Camp. Lunch provided along the trail. 5:00 PM Arrival into our Rubicon Springs Base Camp. Dinner, open bar and overnight accommodations provided. August 14 th : The following morning after a hearty breakfast, participants will complete the remainder of the Rubicon Trail. Arrive back to The Resort at Squaw Creek in time for a late lunch. Return Jeeps; conclusion of services.
