The General Management Programme for Senior Executives (also referred to as SEC) is the flagship programme of ASCI. This four-week programme is designed to facilitate the grooming of senior functional executives who will progress to positions of general managers. It enables the participants to develop a holistic view of functional areas of Management and to hone leadership skills. Developing these competencies would contribute in developing organizational excellence, which is a prerequisite for enhancing growth in the current environment. SEC-121 has been specifically designed to enable managers to enhance their competencies to meet the imperatives of developing organizational excellence for sustaining growth. The focus of learning in SEC-121 is on developing leadership abilities, strategies for retaining top talent and managing the cash flow cycle. The programme will include the design of innovative strategies leading to sustained growth of organizations. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES Analyzing the global and domestic economic environment for sustaining growth; Deepening competencies in functional areas of management for organisational excellence in a competitive environment; Formulating growth and leadership strategies in the competitive business environment; and Providing opportunities for collaborative networking with top managers, industry leaders and policy makers. PEDAGOGY The inputs will be delivered through lecture-cum-discussions, case-analysis, experience sharing, audio-visual presentations, role-play, simulated business game and project work. The emphasis will be on interactive and participative learning business visits. PARTICIPANT PROFILE The Programme is designed to provide inputs for senior executives with work experience of at least ten years. We invite senior officers who are likely to shoulder higher responsibilities and grow into leadership positions at various governmental bodies, public sector undertakings and private corporations. Past experience shows that entrepreneurs who built credible organizations also benefited immensely from attending the Senior Executives Course. Organisational sponsorship is essential. PROGRAMME SCHEDULE The Programme will start at 0930 hrs on Monday, 03rd June, 2013 and will end on the afternoon of Friday, 28th June, 2013. Sessions are scheduled between 0900 hrs and 1730 hrs from Monday to Saturday. The Programme schedule includes recreational activities including social networking get-togethers, cultural events, and sports activities such as Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Billiards, Swimming and Table Tennis. A special feature of this Programme is that it includes an Outbound Management component, which supports the learning process through team-building activities. Sightseeing tours are planned to places of historical prominence such as Charminar, Golconda Fort and Salar Jung Museum. The itinerary also includes a visit to Ramoji Film City, an integrated film studio complex. VENUE The Programme is fully residential and will be held at the picturesque Bella Vista campus of the College in the heart of Hyderabad. Participants will be provided with air-conditioned single room lodging and boarding facilities. Transportation from and to airport will also be arranged. The Bella Vista Campus of the College is WiFi enabled in a comprehensive way. SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi sponsors eligible foreign participants under Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Special Commonwealth African Assistance Plan (SCAAP) schemes. Participants must possess working knowledge of English. Participants from ITEC & SCAAP countries are required to apply through the Indian Embassy / Consulate in their respective countries. FEE The fee includes tuition, board and lodging, courseware and use of other campus facilities. Indian Participants: Single/First Participant Rs.1,50,000 + Service Tax as applicable Second participant onwards Rs.1,35,000 +Service Tax as applicable per participant Foreign Participants: Single/First Participant USD 5100 + Service Tax as applicable Second Participant onwards USD 4,590 + Service Tax as applicable per participant Early Bird discount of 5% is also extended if nominations with payment are received on or before May 03rd, 2013. It is clarified, however, that the total discount for any participant would not exceed 15%. MEDICAL INSURANCE The nominees are requested to carry with them the proof of Medical Insurance. The sponsoring agency is required to endorse the nominee's medical coverage in the event of hospitalisation.
