Key Responsibilities Under the direction of the Branch Manager: Conduct assessments, discuss, develop and monitor a Job Plan with a clear focus on obtaining sustainable employment including assessing job seeker attributes and skills Conduct Work Capacity assessments and recommend return to work options Engage ECHO job seekers in activities which will lead to ongoing employment Maintain achievement of performance targets and Department of Employment Key Performance Indicators Capture Found Own Employment (FOE) placements when providing services Ensure job seekers are meeting monthly mutual obligation requirements, which includes closely monitoring job search activities and taking compliance action as required such as notifying Department of Human Services of non-attendance and supporting jobseekers Department of Human Services Performance Diary Refer job seekers to suitable vacancies (internal & external) Assist job seekers with resumes, applications, supported job interviews, reverse marketing, referral to services & programs and post placement support Monitor employment placement, maximising opportunities for full-time work. Engage job seekers in job related activities including internal industry based job clubs, training and vocational assistance Ensure service delivery meets Department of Employment and ECHO s compliance & reporting structure Advise job seekers of Mutual Obligation requirements, Annual Activity Requirements, and Work for the Dole activities and sessions Reverse market job seekers to employers Must be results focused with the ability to achieve KPI s Develop working links and liaise closely with ECHO s staff and teams to maximise quick placement of ECHO job seekers including the referral to AMES centralised marketing team Monitor and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of job seeker assessments and circumstances Engage job seekers in job related activities including internal industry based job clubs, training and vocational assistance Maintain up to date Job Ready lists for easy referrals to vacancies and training opportunities Maintain and coordinate funding assistance (and commitment) when required and in line with guidelines, including to support Wage Subsidy offers and conditions of employment Ensure tracking is maintained for a 6 month period and recorded into Bridge Ensure support intervention is given to the job seeker and employer as soon as notified by Centralised Services Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and contractual requirements and that all duties are undertaken within an effective risk management framework E:\jobactive Position Descriptions\Work Broker -North East Melbourne.docVersion 1 date: 05/05/15 Page 2 of 6
