Who Comes To Endon? You Do! We welcome children between the ages of 9 to 16. We cater for children of all standards. We have over 30 horses and ponies here, so you can be sure that you are teamed up with a mount that is suitable for your needs. We ll teach the beginner from the start, we ll give confidence to the nervous and we ll challenge the advanced. Many people come to Endon on their own, some bring a friend and some come in groups. One thing for certain, you will meet lots of new friends and have a fantastic time!! Own A Pony For A Week. When you arrive you will be given a pony to look after as if it was your very own, not only will you ride this pony, but you will catch it, groom it, feed it, muck it out, tack it up and give it lots of love. Don t worry if you ve never done any of these things before. There is always someone to help you. Bring Your Own. If you are lucky enough to have your own pony, you can bring it with you (if it will fit in your suitcase), at NO EXTRA CHARGE!
Riding Activities. There will be lots of riding throughout your stay. Everyone will receive tuition to improve their riding skills and there will be plenty of hacking in the beautiful countryside that surrounds us. For the more adventurous rider, you can try your hand at dressage, show jumping or cross country. There will also be a number of fun lessons which will include gymkhana games. Every Friday we have a Mini Show and everyone is encouraged to take part. There are plenty of rosettes to be won in various classes. Parents (and grandparents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts and friends etc.) are welcome to come and watch the Mini Show to see how your riding has improved. Although the activities are made as much fun as possible, there is an emphasis on learning. We want you to make the most of your stay and gain all round knowledge of the equestrian world. Our friendly staff all have British Horse Society (B.H.S.) qualifications and you will be supervised in all activities.
Non-Riding Activities. You will learn about looking after your pony through a series of demonstrations and lectures to make your learning as enjoyable as possible. There are a variety of evening activities for you, ranging from quizzes and competitions to the Aqua Disco night on Friday. This is at the well-known local water park Waterworld. All entrance fees, transport costs and evening meal are included in your holiday. On Saturday morning there is the Prize Presentation, when all awards for the week are given out. There are lots of prizes to be won, both as part of a team and as individuals.
Accommodation. Next to the farmhouse, we have a purpose built accommodation block. All of the rooms are centrally heated and have their own television. The rooms are based on four sharing to help you to make friends with everyone else on your holiday. Bathroom facilities are located within the block and there are additional toilet facilities available on the yard. All meals are provided in the farmhouse. Vegetarian meals are available on request. What To Bring. Yourselves Riding Clothes: preferably jodhpurs but jeans will do. Short or long riding boots. (If you do not have your own riding boots then bring a pair of boots or shoes with a heel.) Riding hat with 3 point harness. (Must be to current British Standard and can be provided if necessary.) Waterproof coat. If you have a show/tweed jacket, shirt and tie then bring them for the Mini Show. Non-riding clothes Swimming clothes Towels and toiletries

Location Endon Riding School is situated in the beautiful countryside of North Staffordshire, between Leek and the Potteries. We are set within the picturesque villages of Stanley, Bagnall and Endon on the edge of the Peak District. We are easily accessible from the M6 Motorway: From the North - Junction 16 From the South - Junction 15. We are also less than 1 hour from the M1 Motorway. The nearest railway station is Stoke-on-Trent and we will gladly collect you from and transport you to the station upon request.

Non- Residential Holidays. We can also offer Non- residential holidays at a cost of 295 (inc. VAT) which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Non-residential holidays start Monday morning, arriving before breakfast each morning and finishing on Friday Evening. Weekends. If you fancy a weekend away with your friends, you can come most weekends throughout the year. The weekend runs from Friday evening to Sunday late afternoon.
