Opration Light snsor 1. Th light snsor is prmanntly attachd to th mtr by th coild cabl. 2. Rmov th protctiv cap by unsnapping it to xpos th whit domd light snsor. Whn th snsor s protctiv cap is rmovd, th whit domd light snsor lns will bgin to captur light. Rplac th cap whn th mtr is not in us. Turn Powr ON or OFF Prss th button to turn powr on or off. If th display dos not switch on, chck that th 9V battry is installd and is frsh. Slcting Lux or Foot candl units of masur Prss th LUX button to slct lux units or th Fc button to slct foot candl units. Masurmnt Procdur 1. Rmov th protctiv cap from th snsor so that th whit domd light snsor is xposd to th light. For ovrhad lighting, th snsor can b placd on a dsk or tabl top. A tripod mount and a tilt stand ar locatd on th rar of th mtr for convninc. 2. Th display will indicat th light lvl in Fc or Lux. 3. Prss th RANGE button to slct th rang that provids th maximum rsolution. If th OL appars th light masurmnt is out of rang. Slct anothr rang using th RANGE button. 4. Prss th backlight button to illuminat th LCD display if ndd. MAX/MIN Th Max/Min function allows for rcording and display of th maximum and minimum light lvls ovr tim. 1. Prss th MAX/MIN button. Th MAX display icon will appar and mtr will now display and hold only th highst rading. Th display will updat only whn a highr rading is masurd. 2. Prss MAX/MIN button. Th MIN display icon will appar and mtr will now display and hold only th lowst rading. Th display will updat only whn a lowr rading is masurd 3. Prss MAX/MIN again. Th MAX MIN display icons will appar flashing and mtr will now display th currnt rading, but will continu to rcord th highst and lowst valus. 4. Prss MAX/MIN again to cycl through MAX and MIN displays. 5. To xit th MAX MIN mod, prss and hold th MAX/MIN button until th MAX and MIN icons compltly disappar. Data Hold Prss th HOLD button to frz th displayd rading. Th MANU HOLD hold icon will appar on th display. Prss th HOLD button again to rturn to normal opration. Whn th Data Hold function is nabld th analog bar graph will continu to display lvl changs. 3

Pak Hold Th Pak Hold fatur allows th mtr to capturs light pulss that ris or fall down to 10µs. 1. Prss and hold th PEAK button until CAL appars in th display. 2. Momntarily prss th PEAK button. Th PMAX icon will appar on th LCD. Th mtr will thn masur and display any light pulss. Th display will hold th rsults until a highr puls appars. 3. Prss th PEAK button again to display th PMIN valus. 4. To xit th Pak Hold mod, prss and hold th PEAK button until th PMAX or PMIN icon disappars. Rlativ mod Masurmnts can b displayd as a diffrnc btwn th masurd light lvl and a stord rfrnc valu. To stor a rading as a rfrnc, prss th REL button whn th dsird rfrnc masurmnt is on th LCD (th REL icon will switch on). All subsqunt displayd radings will b rlativ to th stord rfrnc valu. For xampl, if th rfrnc valu is 100 and th actual light lvl is 125, th mtr will display 25. To viw th rfrnc valu, prss th REL button again so that th REL icon bgins to flash. Th displayd valu will b th rfrnc valu. To xit th Rlativ mod, prss and hold th REL button until th REL icon disappars. RESET Prss th RESET button to clar th mmory and xit from REL, HOLD, PEAK and MAX/MIN. Th RESET will also rst th auto powr off timr. Backlight Prss th button to turn th backlight on. Prss again to turn it off. 4

Battry Rplacmnt Whn th battry powr bgins to fail th low battry symbol will appar on th LCD. Rplac th 9V battry by first rmoving protctiv jackt that ncass th mtr. Rmov th rar (cntr) battry compartmnt scrw to accss th battry compartmnt. Ensur that th compartmnt covr is scurly fastnd and that th protctiv jackt is proprly installd bfor using th mtr. Nvr dispos of usd battris or rchargabl battris in houshold wast. As consumrs, usrs ar lgally rquird to tak usd battris to appropriat collction sits, th rtail stor whr th battris wr purchasd, or whrvr battris ar sold.
