BOYERTOWN AREA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL International Performing Arts Tour Central Europe 2015 September 2013 Following several months of careful review and discussion, the BASH Music Department is pleased to announce the School Board of Directors approval of a Performing Arts Tour of Central Europe in the Spring of 2015. The music department ensembles will travel to Austria and the Czech Republic to participate in a performing tour of Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna and surrounding smaller towns and villages. The choir and orchestra will have the opportunity to perform in some of the finest cathedrals and venues in Europe. The Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble will participate in parades and present concerts in some of the most scenic palatial settings. This performing tour is open to all members of the Band, Chorus, Orchestra, Color Guard, and Stage Crew. Students will also experience the culture, people, food and music of Central Europe. The purpose of this packet is to provide the members and parents with as much information as possible about the trip including costs, itineraries, and other pertinent information. Please review the contents of this packet and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding this tour. Costs quoted in this packet are the best estimate as of September 2013. They are subject to change, depending on such factors as airline taxes and fuel charges not yet available and currency exchange rates. As this is a performance tour, it is our hope that all members of the BASH Music Department will consider participation in this experience. We are looking forward to sharing this wonderful musical experience with you all!
