What is GMC Olie ad why do I eed a accout? You ca fid GMC Olie through the home page of our website www.gmc-uk.org. With a GMC Olie accout, you ca: pay your registratio ad aual retetio fees update your cotact ad address details apply for registratio with a licece to practise, etry to the Specialist Register or the GP Register, or to take the Professioal ad Liguistic Assessmet Board (PLAB) test apply to reliquish or restore your licece to practise view ad prit a Certificate of Proof of Etry o the Register complete the aual atioal traiees survey. Importatly, you ca also use your GMC Olie accout to cofirm the orgaisatio that will provide you with a regular appraisal ad help you with revalidatio. New users Step 3 Select optio 1 As a registered doctor, you have a GMC referece umber sometimes called a registratio umber. Please click o the first optio to start settig up your GMC Olie accout. Step 4 Click o Set up your olie accout Geeral Medical Coucil 05
Mai title Step 5 Eter your details To activate your accout, we ll ask you to provide some iformatio about yourself. We oly eed it for security purposes, to make sure you are who you say you are. We will ask you to eter: your GMC referece umber your email address your date of birth ad the method you use to pay your aual retetio fee (for example Direct Debit). Mai title Step 6 Cofirm some extra details At this poit, we may ask you to give us some more iformatio about yourself. If we do t eed to, you ll be automatically take to Step 7 (please see ext page). If you pay your aual retetio fee by Direct Debit, we ll ask you to cofirm your sort code ad the last four digits of the bak accout umber we collect your paymet from. We oly eed this iformatio for security purposes, to make sure you are who you say you are. If we ve set you a activatio code, we ll ask you to eter it at this poit. Not every doctor eeds a code to set up their accout. It depeds o the iformatio we hold about you. If we do t have your email address, we ll ask you to eter it ad the cofirm it. Step 9 Add a memorable word We ll ask you to eter a memorable word ad a hit or questio to help you remember it. FAQs What happes if I forget my password? If you re a existig user, do t worry just click Forgotte Password? o the GMC Olie Logi page. You ll be asked to eter your GMC referece umber ad the email address that we have o your record. We ll sed you a ew password to your email accout, ad you ll be able to use this to log i straight away. Why have I received a activatio code? Whe you set up your GMC Olie accout, we ll ask you to cofirm some iformatio about yourself, such as your date of birth ad email address. If we do t already hold this iformatio about you, we ll sed you a activatio code. You ll eed to eter this code whe you set up your accout. This will allow us to make sure you are who you say you are. I have etered my details but the system wo t allow me to set up my accout. Why is this? The iformatio you eter about yourself must match our records.
