What is Near Field Communicatio n (NFC) technology? Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless technology that allows two devices to exchange information quickly and conveniently at close proximity. Apple Pay uses NFC technology to transmit payment card information from your phone to a contactless payment terminal. How does Apple Pay work? To add your eligible credit and/or debit cards to Apple Pay, follow the Apple Pay instructions here. Apple Pay provides the same benefits and protection as your physical card, with the convenience of making secure transactions on your iphone 6, iphone 6 Plus, ipad Air 2 or ipad mini 3. How do my VyStar credit and debit cards work When you add your VyStar credit and/or debit cards to Apple Pay, the number from your plastic card is replaced with a secure digital account number also called a token. What is the Secure Element? The Secure Element is a dedicated chip in the iphone that securely stores the digital account number. What is a digital account number (token)? A digital account number (token) is a substitute account number that replaces your card number and is used to make secure purchases in stores and in-apps. Apple Pay is integrated into the Passbook app, which comes pre-installed on the iphone 6 and iphone 6 Plus. You will be given an opportunity to configure Apple Pay upon setup of your new device or installation of the ios update when it becomes available. If you already have an established itunes account, the credit card that is on file will be made available to you immediately upon Apple Pay setup. You will have the ability to add additional eligible VyStar credit or debit cards using the isight camera to instantly capture your card details or you can enter them manually. Can I have my card on more than one device? You can add multiple VyStar credit and/or debit cards into Apple Pay on multiple devices. Why am I being asked to verify my VyStar card? For security reasons, we may need you to provide additional verification to add your VyStar card to Apple Pay. If necessary, Passbook will tell you how to verify your card. If your information is verified, you should receive a Passbook notification that your card is ready for Apple Pay. How do I pay using Apple In-Store Purchase In-App Purchase One touch to pay with Touch ID makes paying in stores happen in one natural motion. There is no need to open the app or even wake your display thanks to the Near Field Communication (NFC) antenna in the iphone 6 and iphone 6 Plus. To pay, just hold your iphone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID. You do not have to look at the screen to know your payment information was successfully sent. A subtle vibration and beep lets you know. On the iphone 6 and iphone 6 Plus, you can also use Apple Pay to pay with a single touch inapps. Checking out is as easy as selecting "Apple Pay" and placing your finger on the Touch ID.
How do I know which card is my default card? The first card you add automatically becomes your default payment card, but you can go to Passbook anytime to pay with a different card. If you load to Apple Pay your card from your itunes account with the iphone 6 or iphone 6 Plus, this automatically becomes your default card. To change your default card, go to Settings on your iphone, then select Passbook and Apple Pay. You may then choose your default card. Does it cost anything to use Apple There is no cost for Apple Pay from VyStar. However, an active data plan is required. Your credit and debit card terms and conditions will apply for purchases. VyStar does not charge any fees to add your credit or debit cards to Apple Pay. Based on your wireless plan and mobile carrier's offering, additional message and data charges may apply. Can I use Apple Pay outside of the United States? As long as you are shopping at a participating retailer, Apple Pay will work outside of the U.S. Based on your wireless plan and mobile carrier's offering, additional message, data charges and foreign transaction fees may apply. How do I get a refund for something I purchased If you need to make a return for a purchase made Pay, you can receive a refund to your account. The key difference is that you may be asked to provide to the cashier the last four digits of your Device Account Number instead of the last few digits of your card number. To find the last four digits of your Device Account Number for your card, visit the Passbook & Apple Pay section of your device Settings or on the back of your card in the Passbook app. Can I add my card to multiple Apple Pay wallets? You can add your card to multiple Apple Pay wallets. However, for security purposes, your activation code will always be sent to the primary cardholder. How do I remove my card from Apple You can remove your debit or credit card from Apple Pay by selecting the card in Passbook, then click on the 'info' icon in the bottom right corner to view the back of the card. Scroll to the bottom to find the remove card option. This will instantly remove it from Passbook and the Secure Element where the digital account number is securely stored on the device.
What if my phone is lost or stolen? If your phone is lost or stolen, you can suspend Apple Pay by using the "Find my iphone" app or visiting www.icloud.com and selecting the option for "Lost Mode". If you find your phone, you can unsuspend Apple Pay by following the prompts on your phone or via "Find my iphone" app. If your phone has been stolen, you will be given the option to "Erase All" on www.icloud.com. This will delete all cards from Apple Pay and the Secure Element. What should I do about Apple Pay if my card is lost or stolen? Please call VyStar immediately at 904-777-6000 or 800-445-6289, option 2. We will close your card so that no more purchases can be made. You should also remove the lost or stolen card from Passbook using the Remove Card option. When you receive your replacement card, you will need to add the new card to Apple Pay before making any Apple Pay purchases. What happens when I replace or update my device? If you replace or update your device, you will need to add your card(s) again to Passbook as new Apple Pay setup. If I have a credit card with a chip, will it work Apple Pay works with chip and signature cards. Can I lock Apple Apple Pay is locked when the device is locked. A device passcode or Touch ID is required per transaction in order to use Apple Pay Am I liable for unauthorized charges made Purchases made with your VyStar credit or debit cards have VyStar Zero Liability protection for any unauthorized card transactions.
