Support while you study We support our students learning online, whether they are based in the UK or anywhere in the world. You will have access to a wide range of support and resources during your studies, including: Tutors Your dedicated Programme Tutor will oversee your studies and ensure that the resources are in place to deliver the programme effectively. Your tutor will support you if there are personal issues or if there are problems that your module tutors cannot resolve. You will also have Module Leaders who will be able to help you with specific queries about your modules of study. This is the person to consult if you have specific study difficulties with the module. Online Learning Materials All learning materials will be provided electronically and you will have access to a wide range of learning resources including e-books, videos, discussion boards and a variety of electronic materials through the Northampton Integrated Learning Environment (NILE). Your assessed work will be submitted and graded electronically, so you will be able to access your grades and feedback online. It is important that you have reasonable access to the internet in order to support your studies. You will have access to a wide range of e-books, journals and other materials from the University of Northampton library. This can all be accessed remotely via NILE, so you can use our library online from your own PC, laptop or tablet. We also support your learning via inorthampton, a mobile application suitable for Apple or Android devices so you can stay connected to the University of Northampton from wherever you are. The gateway to your MBA MBA MOOC Duration: 10 weeks Entry requirements: The Gateway MBA MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) is an opportunity to try out studying on our MBA programme for free. The innovative Critical Issues in Business module provides a taster of the University of Northampton s MBA. Participants will be guided through a range of e-learning activities based around online recordings from industry experts, with lecturer supported discussion and reflective exercises to give you a flavour of the demands of postgraduate study while looking at a range of Critical Issues that impact Business today. So if you have been thinking about studying for an MBA award but are not sure if you are ready for the demands of Higher Education then this is the place to start, with no cost and no commitment but a great student experience. If you would then like to continue your studies and are suitably qualified,* you can register with the University of Northampton to undertake a formal assessment of the MBA MOOC ( 125 fee), and join students for the next stage of the online MBA, receiving a discount on the full programme. *Applicants will normally be expected to hold a first or second class honours degree of a British university or equivalent and must always have a minimum of two years relevant management experience. The University of Northampton admission procedures enable the admission of students with prior credit or experiential learning. Undergraduate Top Up Banking and Financial Planning (top-up) BSc (Hons) Duration: 24 months Entry requirements: Applicants must have a Higher National Diploma or equivalent (Edexcel, ABE, NCC) or Foundation Degree in a related field. International Logistics MSc Duration: Two to three years Entry requirements: You will hold a UK first or second class honours degree or equivalent. Students taking this course will develop their knowledge and understanding of the key concepts affecting Logistics and Supply Chain Management today. Whether they intend to specialise in International Logistics as a career, or enter General Management, today s professionals require a deep and systematic understanding of the technology, staff, infrastructure and operational processes that define this important business sector. You will investigate and evaluate the range of alternative approaches to Logistics and Supply Chain Management, looking forward over the next five years, making use of theoretical and industry sources. Every stage of the supply chain, from raw material supply to resource recovery will be covered, as will the many modes of transport, on land sea and in the air. Strategic issues such as multi-channel retailing, supply chain collaboration and lead time compression will be studied. IT Service Management MSc Mode of study: Part-time or Online Learning Duration: One to three years Entry requirements: You will hold a recognised first or second class honours degree or equivalent, or a postgraduate qualification for which a degree or HND qualification was a necessary entry requirement. Applicants with relevant work experience in the IT field and related professional qualifications i.e. ITIL, will be considered on an individual basis. Exceptions for those with ITIL qualifications may be available. The programme encompasses IT Service Management through a series of progressive units developing your knowledge from fundamental concepts, through to units addressing IS strategy, management information, quality management, application development, infrastructure, service support and delivery, continuity planning, people and operational issues of implementing IT Service Management best practice. The programme addresses current standards for IT Service Management, such as ISO20000 and training and exposure to ITIL and Prince2. You may exit with a Postgraduate Diploma or complete the full qualification to achieve the MSc. Management (International) MSc Duration: One year Entry requirements: Candidates will normally hold a first or second class honours degree or equivalent. No work experience is required for admission onto the programme. The MSc Management International (Online Learning) programme aims to provide its graduates with a competitive advantage in the graduate management and management trainee market in the UK and internationally. The content of the programme focuses on marketing, operations management, finance and strategic management, as well as the exploration of the organisational behaviour and the cultural context in which business is conducted.
