Dear IWAS Member Nations, Thank you to all Nations for your ongoing support in the lead up to the IWAS Under 23 World Games awarded to the Emil Foundation in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. To date 22 Nations with 230 competitors have submitted their intentions to participate in the Games. If any Nation did not submit their intention to participate, the opportunity to enter the Games is still open. Please ensure the LOC is aware of your intentions and you submit your information as soon as possible. The sports on the preliminary sports programme are Arm Wrestling, Athletics (including RaceRunning), Swimming, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Fencing, Wheelchair Tennis. Details including the competition approval status of each sport can be found in the sport specific section of this information pack. Each sports confirmed inclusion in the Games will be dependent on number of entries and IWAS reserves the right to withdraw sports from the programme that will not be viable. The deadline for submitting Entry by Number is 22 nd April 2016. We do ask for your cooperation in adhering to this deadline as information must be submitted to the IFs for classification purposes and the information is also essential for logistical planning. TABLE TENNIS WHEELCHAIR TENNIS ARM WRESTLING WHEELCHAIR FENCING The competition will be split into three eligible age groups (age as on 31 December 2016) Under 23 born in 1994, 1995, 1996 Under 20 born in 1997 and 1998 Under 18 born in 1999 and 2000 Athletes under the age of 14 years can compete with special permission from LOC and IF. An athlete must be able to provide proof of his age through presentation of a valid passport or other form of evidence. An athlete who fails or refuses to provide such proof shall not be eligible to compete ANTI DOPING IWAS doping rules apply for all sports. A reduced price for early arrivals or late departures will be available through the LOC but will be slightly higher than the discounted rate applied during Games time. ACCOMODATION Prices are approximate at this time; Dormitory accommodation: 55 per night Basic hotel accommodation: 80 per night Hotel accommodation: 100 per night Accommodation costs also include full board catering (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner). The accommodation fee will be charged in the final entry stage and will be payable to the LOC. TRANSPORT Transfers to and from Václav Havel Airport Prague airport will be provided. Shuttle transport will be supplied for teams to travel between hotels and sport venues throughout the Games. The cost of all travel is included in the Registration Fee. VISA REQUIREMENTS Please check with your local Embassy or High Commission to see what the Visa requirements are for entering Czech Republic from your country. It is the responsibility of the nations to manage their own VISA requirements. Requests for visa invitation letters should be managed on the Sport:80 entry system in the final stage of entry. FINANCES REGISTRATION FEE All members of the delegation are subject to the registration fee of 200 per person and is payable to IWAS. The registration fee includes IWAS competition fee, entry and competition preparation, airport transfers and competition shuttle transport. PAYMENT INSTRUCTION All registration fee payments must be made to IWAS by bank transfer at the details above ensuring a payment reference of U23WG is used. Proof of payments must be sent to games@iwasf.com. CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT The deposit of 30% is non-refundable unless agreed by both parties in exceptional circumstances. All fees incurred on the bank transfer including fees in domestic and foreign intermediary banks must be covered by the payer. REFUND POLICY Withdrawal of entry Refund Deadline 50% of total fees paid 29 th May 2016 18 th June 2016 No refund 19 th June 2016 onwards ATHLETE REPLACEMENT/SUBSTITUTION Nations can replace/substitute competitors of the same gender, class and event for those that have to withdraw for whatever reason up to 3 weeks (08/06/2016) before the start of the games. INSURANCE Competitors must provide insurance for their own accident and liability. The organiser excludes any liability and assumes no responsibility for loss or theft of materials or personal belongings during the games. All participants have the duty to observe safety regulations and other regulations of the organiser.
