EXECUTIVE SUMMARY A positive dynamic A virtual network As of 31/7/2014, a total of 8,653 members were following us on LinkedIn (+35%) and we had 6,500 fans on Facebook (+48%). Sign up now and use our professional LinkedIn clubs to share your thoughts or post service offers, articles, etc. Some lively clubs Growth of 21% in this year s events held by EDHEC Alumni and its ambassadors! One third of all networking events took place abroad, where 22% of graduates live. 2013-2014 saw the creation of new clubs: Peru, MIP and AMP, Sailing, and Careers and Personal Development. The careers workshops and webinars and the events held by the Leisure clubs enjoyed the highest level of growth. Our Professional clubs have continued to be dynamic, with a 20% rise in activities. It is worth mentioning the Business and Technology club, the Marketing club, EDHEC elles, Entreprendre, EDHEC Business Angels, Immobilier and Tribu Développement, which have enjoyed particular success. Entrepreneur support The support offered to Entrepreneurs has remained a key focus, with the establishment of a partnership between EDHEC Business Angels and BADGE (business angels des grandes écoles), the launch of the School s incubator (EYE), and a dynamic year for Club Entreprendre. The website edhec-entrepreneurs.com was also developed and modernised. 5

Executive summary An EDHEC Rendez-Vous «Happy Energy» The 24 th edition of the EDHEC Rendez-Vous Happy Energy brought together 1,300 participants in 36 different cities. Congratulations to Ségolène Delahalle (GE 1999), Ca me regarde, and Bruno Dabout (GE 1982), ATD Quart Monde, whose companies were nominated for the solidarity award. The Alumni Campus Day Our community activities and class reunions went from strength to strength, with the success of the EDHEC Campus Day 2013, which brought together 219 graduates, sponsors and students, and 11 class reunions on the Roubaix campus (12 October 2013). A new board of governors The Association also saw the election of a new board of governors: Emmanuelle Guilbart (GE 1987) was elected president Christophe Lucas (GE 1988) international vice-president Xavier Fornetty (MBA 2004) vice-president for the MBA and other diplomas Pascale Thévenoux (GE 1987) treasurer Anne-Sophe de Gabriac (GE 1995) vice-president of business and entrepreneurship Jérome Frizzera-Mogli () vice-president of online activity and social networks. The Association would also like to thank Bruno de Pampelonne (GE 1981), who served on a voluntary basis as treasurer and later as president over a period of several years. Thanks Bruno! 6

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY An international network In October and November 2013, 32 welcome parties were held across the globe. Our ambassadors and clubs once again proved their ability to offer a warm welcome. EDHEC Alumni used this occasion to help improve the integration of foreign students by relaunching the sponsorship scheme between graduates and foreign students. 60 foreign students met with their sponsors during the welcome parties held in Lille and Nice. Graduates from London, Singapore, San Francisco and New York were invited to meet with graduates, students, professors and members of the School. We would also like to thank those graduates who shared their expertise at recruitment fairs for international candidates. 34% of the careers workshops and conferences can now be accessed in English from anywhere in the world. Our partnership with Evisors means you now have unlimited privileged access to a database of online careers webinars in English. A network of solidarity A crowdfunding scheme, organised in partnership with Mymajorcompany, provided financing for three home-grown EDHEC projects: - a study grant for our very own athlete Reina-Flor Okori (EDHEC BBA 2015) - a study grant for a student Pierre Soron (GE 2016) - one year of incubation for entrepreneur Caroline Pailloux (GE 2005) Sincere thanks to the 419 people who contributed to the EDHEC RDV Paris; 50% of your contribution to the cost of the event ( 3,225) was used to fund these projects. This year EDHEC Alumni also awarded two loans on trust to the amount of 4000, paid out by the EDHEC Alumni Solidarity committee. The Association continued its involvement with the School by helping to promote the Rising Talents fundraising campaign, which has now been supported by 498 donors, including 442 graduates. But we are still a long way behind the results achieved by other schools. We are counting on you to reach a target of 1000 graduates. Each donation counts! 7

Professional development and international careers In terms of job offers, 2013/2014 saw a rise on the previous year, especially for those starting out. The year ended +5%, compared to -39% in 2012/2013. The number of offers is particularly high in finance and auditing, and the market is also active abroad, especially in Europe. 363 EDHEC graduates (+21%) benefited from personalised career advice in Lille, Nice and Paris or via Skype. 11% of these requests came from BBA graduates, and 50% from young graduates (2010 to 2013). EDHEC Alumni and Alumni Career Centre have focused on developing support for international careers in particular. 19% of the job offers available are for positions overseas. 49 careers webinars in English were made available through our partnership with Evisors. 34% of careers workshops/ conferences are now accessible in English from anywhere in the world. In order to boost your personal and professional development, this year EDHEC Alumni launched its STREAM mentoring programme and ran the first edition of its Learning pills. So please do not hesitate to pass on your job offers, particularly those on the hidden job market. Post your offers. If you are looking for career advice, contact lysiane.vasseur@ edhec.edu. Please make yourself available to the network and respond warmly to contact requests from students or graduates. Soliciting someone s help is a way of saying you value them, so don t hesitate to get in touch with members of the EDHEC network and get connected as much as possible, while respecting the rules of good networking. A dynamic database 26,267 graduates and future graduates and 14,758 updates: 56% of our files on graduates and students were totally or partially modified this year. The Lost Contacts challenge is ongoing. 875 profiles have been found thanks to this competition. Joining the network on the ground floor! Our students are part of our community, so EDHEC Alumni has made an effort to instil in them the network reflex. The Association has generated as many opportunities as possible for graduates and students to meet, in particular during the Paris Forum. Networking training sessions were held in cooperation with the Student Career Centre in Nice, and all new arrivals (MBA, Exec MBA, CSM, MIM, AMP, GE, MSC and foreign students) were informed about the Association. During the Finance Career Days in September 2013, graduates were on hand to share their experience. EDHEC Alumni also helped organise meetings between graduates and students from the Course Croisière EDHEC, Prix de Court and Chti associations. 8
