I. NOTES ABOUT A NEW INSTALLATION Welcome to the LuproLink system. LuproLink is designed to provide inventory and patient management services along with added functionality for managing patient records. We hope you enjoy using the system and look forward to continuing to assist you in providing quality service to your patients. For technical assistance, contact the rfxcel technical support line by dialing 1-800-621-1020 and choosing option 5. There are four parts to the installation: 1. SOFTWARE 2. HARDWARE 3. INTERNET EXPLORER CONFIGURATION 4. HARDWARE CONFIGURATION II. NEW SOFTWARE INSTALLATION The LuproLink software is provided in an easy-to-install format. Windows XP, Vista, and 7 steps are the same except where noted. 1. Open the LuproLink installation file, labeled LuproLinkSetup.exe. The LuproLink Setup Wizard will open. a. After attempting step 1, if prompted use the 64-bit operating installation file instead. 2. Click Next to begin the setup process. Copyright 2014 AbbVie, All rights reserved Page 4 of 38
3. Review the licensing agreement for LuproLink. Click I Agree. 4. Choose all components to install. Click Next. 5. The wizard will install selected components. Copyright 2014 AbbVie, All rights reserved Page 5 of 38
6. When prompted, disconnect all 3M USB Readers from the system. Click OK. a. The 3M Device Driver Installation Wizard will open. Click Next. b. The wizard will install the 3M Device Driver. Click Finish. Copyright 2014 AbbVie, All rights reserved Page 6 of 38
c. The LuproLink Reader Installer will open. Click Next. d. Select the install folder for LuproLink. Select whether to install for all computer users or only current user. 10. Find the icon in the system tray to verify the installation was successful. a. If the icon is not present, click on Start > Programs > LuproLink > LuproLink Reader to start the application. Once the system tray icon appears similar to the screen above, Software Installation is complete. Proceed to the next section, Hardware Installation. III. NEW HARDWARE INSTALLATION LuproLink will work with the reader pad already in the clinic office. Begin the Hardware Installation after you have finished the Software Installation outlined above. 1. Locate the LuproLink Reader Pad notification box in the lower right corner. a. If not started, open the program by going to Start > Programs > LuproLink > LuproLink Reader 2. Connect the 3M RFID Reader Pad. 3. The LuproLink tab in the lower right of the screen changes from a red box to green and displays Pad Online. 4. Once pad is online, proceed to the next section, Internet Explorer Configuration. IV. INTERNET EXPLORER CONFIGURATION AbbVie has prepared installation instructions for Internet Explorer 6, 7, and 8 for use after installing the software and hardware for LuproLink. Before beginning this section of the installation guide, please 1) complete the hardware and software installation as outlined above and 2) identify your version of Internet Explorer. To identify your version of Internet Explorer: 1. Open Internet Explorer 2. Go to the Help > About. 3. Proceed to section: A. Internet Explorer 6 B. Internet Explorer 7 C. Internet Explorer 8 D. V. NEW HARDWARE CONFIGURATION Finally, after the local software and hardware installation is complete, associate the reader pad with the clinic location on the LuproLink system using the following procedure. 1. Using Internet Explorer, navigate to http://www.luprolink.net. Log in as the clinic administrator using your login and password provided by rfxcel through the email address used on the 3M LuproLink system. a. 2. Navigate to Administer Settings > Reader. If this is the initial installation, click Add to add a new reader pad. If the reader pad is a replacement, click the Modify option next to the old reader pad. 3. Enter the location name. Click Get Pad # to capture the serial number of the new reader pad. 4. Upgrade installation can only be done if a previous version of Luprolink RFID Application is already installed on the computer. VII. SOFTWARE UPGRADE INSTALLATION The LuproLink RFID Application software is provided in an easy-to-install format. Windows XP, Vista, and 7 steps are the same except where noted. 11. Open the LuproLink upgrade installation file, labeled LuproLinkSetup_upgrade.exe. The LuproLink Setup Wizard will open. 12. Click Next to begin the setup process.
