The login to the online expenses system involves using a software based secure token that displays an automatically generated number. The RSA SecurID Software Token will be delivered to you by IPSA at an email address that you provide, along with a unique username. If you currently use an RSA SecurID hardware token, this will be automatically retired upon creating your PIN for your software token. Note: IPSA require you to return your retired hardware token. Using the RSA software token will ensure that you are securely logged into the IPSA Online Expenses System whenever you use it. Before you can use an RSA software token, you will need to follow three steps: Obtain an RSA SecurID Software Token Install the RSA SecurID Software Import your RSA SecurID Software Token Obtaining an RSA SecurID Software Token 1. A customised software token will be generated using the information submitted in the Device Detection Service website. The generated token will be emailed to the address you entered. 2. Important note: The generated token will be secured with a password. For security reasons, this password will be sent by separate email to the primary email address that you have registered with IPSA. Installing the RSA SecurID Software Using the device you want to install the RSA application on, e.g. Laptop, MacBook, Desktop etc., follow one of the links below, and download and install the correct RSA SecurID Software for your device by following the instructions below. Important note: Before proceeding to install the software, please ensure that you have received your software token and password emails. Microsoft Windows Important Note: To install the application, you must have administrator privileges on your computer. Otherwise, the software will have to be installed by a user with administrator privileges.
1. First we need to determine whether your computer is running a 32-bit version or 64-bit version of the Windows operating system, please click here and scroll down to the section Automatic version detection results. Please see the example image below: 2. If you are currently using a 32-bit operating system, please click here. If you are currently using a 64-bit operating system, please click here. 3. If prompted to Run or Save, choose Run to allow the installation to begin automatically. 4. On the Welcome screen, click Next 5. If you are presented with a Place of Origin screen, select the second option, You ordered this RSA product from Europe, Africa, or Asia Pacific.... Click Next.
6. On the License Agreement screen, read the license agreement, and select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next. 7. On the Setup Type screen, select Typical to install the application to the default location. Click Next then click Install on the Ready to Install the Program screen.
8. When the installation is complete, click Finish. You do not need to restart your system. You are now ready to import your software token, leave the Launch RSA SecurID Software Token box checked. 9. To start the application: Click Start > All Programs > RSA > RSA SecurID Token > RSA SecurID Token.
Mac OS X Important Note: To install the application, you must have administrator privileges on your computer. Otherwise, the software will have to be installed by a user with administrator privileges. 1. Scroll down the page to RSA SecurID Software Token 4.1.2 for Mac OS X in the Downloads section. 1. Click the Download Application link. Note: You may need to temporarily turn off your popup blocker but please remember to turn it on again after the software is installed. 2. Once the download is complete, click the Downloads icon on the Dock. 3. Click RSASecurIDTokenMac412.dmg. The Finder opens and displays the RSA SecurID Software Token Installer.
4. Double-click RSASecurIDTokenMac412x64.pkg. 5. When prompted whether to continue, click Continue. 6. On the Welcome screen, click Continue. 7. On the Software License Agreement screen, do one of the following: Use the scrollbar to read the license agreement. To print the license agreement, click Print. To save the license agreement to a file, click Save. Click Continue
8. If you wish to read the license agreement and you did not do so previously, click Read License. When you are ready to continue installing the software, click Agree. 9. Click Install.
10. A password dialog boxes opens. In the Name field, enter your administrator username. In the Password field, enter your administrator password, and click OK. 11. The software is installed, and the Summary screen displays a success message. Click Close.
12. To delete the installation files, drag the mounted image ( RSA SecurID ) to the Trash, and then drag RSASecurIDMacToken412.dmg to the Trash. 13. To start the application, do one of the following: Go to Applications, and double-click SecurID. Drag the SecurID icon to the Dock, and click the icon. Importing an RSA SecurID Software Token Once you have received the software token by email, follow the appropriate instructions below to activate it. Important note: Before proceeding to import the software token, please ensure that you have received, and have access to, the email containing the password. This was sent to the primary email address that you have registered with ISPA. For Windows and Mac OS X (Laptops and desktops) 1. Open the email containing the token file attachment (the attachment will end with.sdtid) and double-click the attachment. 2. When prompted to Open or Save the attachment, click Open. The SecurID desktop application detects the token file and opens. 3. When prompted, enter the password. Click OK.
4. If you are prompted to Select the device where the token will be stored, select Local Hard Drive and click OK. 5. A success message is displayed, and you are prompted to rename your token. 6. Do one of the following: To change the token name, click Change name If you do not want to change the name, click OK. 7. To change the token name, enter a name of 1 24 alphanumeric characters (e.g. IPSA RSA Token). Click OK.
