The areas affected will be from Wentworth Drive, opposite the 18th Green on the West Course, to the European Tour Offices and the road between the Driving Range and the Putting Green. Vehicles wishing to use the areas surrounding the Traffic Free Zone will be directed by staff on how to access these using alternative routes. The suggested access routes stated below avoid this zone. SECTION 1 Please note, you will need a 2016-17 Members car sticker and Membership card to park. You will not need a car park pass. Your designated parking area will be Car Park 3, located on the 2nd East Practice Ground. Due to the Park & Ride system, the 18th Fairway of the East Course will not be available for Members parking as this is the spectator drop-off area. The car park is located on the Grassed Driving Range to the left of the 2nd Hole of the East Course. A shuttle service will run daily between Car Park 3 and the Clubhouse from 07.00. ACCESS FROM THE A30: Please enter via West Drive and then through the estate to turn left towards the Par 3 Executive Course and follow the event signage to Car Park 3. ACCESS FROM WELLINGTON AVENUE: Please enter via East Drive, then turn right onto West Drive and follow the event signage to Car Park 3. SECTION 2 Your designated parking area will be the Tennis & Health Club Car Park whilst using the Tennis & Health facilities. Should this car park be at capacity members will be directed to the overflow car park adjacent to the 1st fairway of the East Course. You will need a 2016-17 Members car sticker and Membership card to park. You will not need a car park pass. Membership card to the parking attendant and be directed to the Tennis & Health Club Car Park (or overflow). 2
ACCESS FROM WELLINGTON AVENUE: Please enter via East Drive, then turn right onto West Drive and follow the event signage to Car Park 3. From there you will show your Membership card to the parking attendant and be directed to the Tennis & Health Club Car Park (or overflow). We kindly request that Members not using the Tennis & Health facilities on tournament days use Car Park 3. SECTION 3 Your designated parking area will be the Car Park 6A located on the 1st of the East Course. ACCESS FROM THE A30: Please enter via West Drive and then through the estate to turn left onto Portnall Rise and then turn right just before the 1st Fairway of the East Course. ACCESS FROM WELLINGTON AVENUE: Please enter via East Drive then turn right onto West Drive. Turn right onto Portnall Rise and then turn right just before the 1st Fairway of the East Course. SECTION 4 Wentworth Estate Residents will receive two Resident (R) Car Stickers (via post) allowing access to Wentworth Estate during tournament time. This pass is only valid for parking within your own abode. Should you require additional Stickers there will be a limited number available on presentation of proof of Residency. Please contact the Competitions Office on 01344 846309. We would remind residents of the Traffic Free Zone explained earlier in this Guide. The main roads to the Estate such as West Drive & East Drive will be busy around the start and end of play on each day. Please see page 5 for ticket information for Residents. SECTION 5 If you are travelling in a BMW vehicle you do not need a car park pass; just follow the event signage to BMW Owners Car Park. If, however, you do have a dedicated car park pass or a Members car sticker please follow the event signage to your designated car park. Access and entry points will be shown on the event road signage. ACCESS TO BMW OWNERS CAR PARK: Those travelling in a BMW vehicle can park on-site in the BMW Owners Car Park 7. This is located on the 16th of the East Course and is accessed only via East Drive, which is the BLUE entrance to Wentworth site. This is accessed via Wellington Avenue. SECTION 6 There will be dedicated, reserved disabled car park bays at both Park & Ride Car Parks for those spectators who have vehicles displaying a blue badge. Wheelchair users and those who cannot avail of the free public park and ride shuttle scheme should call 0800 023 2557 or email tickets@europeantour.com for further arrangements. We regret that disabled badge holders will not automatically be admitted access to the Wentworth Estate. Any spectator who requires special assistance and parking on site must also contact the European Tour (as detailed above) to ensure they are issued with a car park pass to access the event. SECTION 7 Private limousines and taxis will be directed to the Yellow Entrance at Wentworth Drive located off the A30 where there is a drop off facility at the junction of Portnall Road (near the red post box). Passengers will then be checked for tickets prior to entering the event. 3
SECTION 8 All Public Ticket holders (including advance ticket holders) in a vehicle will be directed to a Park & Ride site. Spectators using the complimentary Park & Ride scheme will be dropped off at a dedicated ticket collection point at the Welcome Pavilion of the Championship Tented Village. The following locations have been selected as the only two official Park & Ride locations for the BMW PGA Championship. Both car parking and the shuttle bus are free of charge. There is NO public parking facility at or near the Wentworth site other than for those with accredited vehicle car park passes or travelling in a Member s vehicle. SUNNINGDALE PARK & RIDE (Postcode SL5 0HD): This will be located in Sunningdale for spectators travelling from the SOUTH and EAST (M3, A30, M25). ASCOT PARK & RIDE (Postcode SL5 7JX): This will be located in the car parks for Ascot Racecourse for spectators travelling from the NORTH and WEST (M4, M25, LONDON). SHUTTLE BUS HOURS OF OPERATION: The bus shuttle service will run as follows: Tuesday 08.00 18.00 Wednesday 07.00 19.00 Thursday 06.30 21.00 Friday 06.30 21.00 Saturday 06.45 21.00 Sunday 06.45 21.00 TRAVELLING TO THE ASCOT PARK & RIDE (Ascot Race Course, Ascot SL5 7JX): Vehicles approaching from the West of the venue should exit the M4 at Junction 10 onto the A329(M) where they should pick up the event signage to Ascot Park & Ride. Vehicles from the M25 North will exit the M25 at Junction 13 onto the A308 and A332. Vehicles from the M4 North will exit via Junction 8 or Junction 6 and follow the event signage to Ascot and Ascot Park & Ride. Upon arrival at the ASCOT Park & Ride: Spectators will be directed to car parks and onwards to the ticket check/purchase and the waiting shuttle buses to the BMW PGA Championship. The arrival point for the shuttle bus will be at the BMW PGA Championship Welcome Pavilion, which is at the entrance to the Tented Village. Catering and toilet facilities are available at the Ascot Park & Ride. (Under normal traffic conditions, the transfer time from the Ascot Park & Ride to the BMW PGA Championship is approximately 15 20 minutes) TRAVELLING TO THE SUNNINGDALE PARK & RIDE (Sunningdale, SL5 0HD): Cars approaching from the South will access via the M3, leaving at J3. Vehicles can then access the site via the A322 and A30. Cars from the East will continue on the M3 down to Junction 3, where they can then access the site via the A322 and A30. Upon arrival at the SUNNINGDALE Park & Ride: Spectators will be directed to car parks and onwards to the ticket check/purchase and the waiting shuttle buses to the BMW PGA Championship. The arrival point for the shuttle bus will be at the BMW PGA Championship Welcome Pavilion, which is at the entrance to the Tented Village. (Under normal traffic conditions, the transfer time from the West Park & Ride to the BMW PGA Championship is approximately 10 minutes.) CAR PARKING FEES Please note that all car parking at Park & Ride points, for Members and for BMWs on-site is free of charge. 4
OTHER INFORMATION TICKET INFORMATION Members access the Estate and Clubhouse from Tuesday 24th May using their Membership Card. For Residents and Members Guest tickets there are two options: Advance Tickets are available from the Ticket Office (Competitions Office) from Tuesday 3rd May to Saturday 28th May. Lunch in The Grill: Between 12.30 and 15.00. Set Menu on Thursday and Friday at 80 per person. Buffet luncheon on Saturday and Sunday at 65 per person. Dinner in The Grill: Between 19.30 and 21.30. A la Carte or Set Menu. Closed on Sunday. Burma Bar: Open from 08.00 to 23.00 with light refreshments available. The Café: Open from 07.00, operating a full Café menu from 08.00. PLAYING GOLF In the lead up to and during the 2016 BMW PGA Championship, the following closures will occur: Temporary green on East Course 18th hole from 25th April. East Course 18th hole closed from 17th to 6th June. The disabled parking bays adjacent to the Driving Range closed from 25th April to 31st May. East Course 1st hole becomes a par 3 on 9th May to 1st June. West Course closed from 3rd to 30th May. Covered Driving Range closed from 12.00 on 21st May until 07.00 on 31st May. East Course closed from 23rd to 31st May. Edinburgh & Executive Course closed from 23rd to 30th May. 5
From Monday 23rd to Sunday 29th May, we are pleased to announce that the following Golf Clubs have agreed to allow Wentworth members a complimentary tee time: Stoke Park, Worplesdon, Woking, Walton Heath, Bearwood Lakes, The Berkshire, Foxhills, Royal Wimbledon, Tandridge and The Grove. Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis with each golfing member being able to book ONE complimentary tee time in ONE of the above venues. If there are any remaining tee times within one week of the booking, members may book a 2nd tee time. Bookings can be reserved as a 2, 3 or 4 ball, however golfers may be paired up to complete a 4 ball. These bookings are strictly for members only. In order to book tee times during this period, please contact Erika Meszaros VIA emeszaros@wentworthclub.com from Saturday 23rd April onwards. At the point of booking, all membership names and numbers must be provided. Upon arrival at the Golf Club prior to playing, members must present their membership card to the check-in desk SECURITY Please note, prohibited parking zones are in place on all roads around Wentworth Estate and any unattended vehicle will be removed. Spectator vehicles will NOT be permitted access to the Wentworth Estate unless it is displaying an accredited vehicle car park pass or 2016-2017 Member car sticker. LOST PROPERTY Please do not leave personal items on the Park & Ride shuttles. Enquiries regarding any lost property should be directed to Lost Property within the BMW PGA Championship Welcome Pavilion located in the Tented Village. There will be a Left Luggage point adjacent to the Welcome Pavilion at the entrance to the Tented Village. TRAVEL BY TRAIN Virginia Water Station is only a five minute shuttle bus trip from the entrance to the Welcome Tent and a FREE shuttle service will run on a continuous loop to and from the event throughout each day from Tuesday as follows: Tuesday: 08.00 18.00 Wednesday: 07.00 19.00 Thursday Sunday: 07.30 21.00 Virginia Water Station can be accessed easily from London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Reading, Woking, Weybridge and many other stations.
