They will assist in organising your wedding package and any guest requirements relating to accommodation and transfers. Once the accommodation, wedding package and celebrant have been booked, your details will be forwarded to the Wedding Coordinator at Kings Canyon Resort. The Wedding Coordinator will contact you for the finer details and arrangements regarding the ceremony and your special day. A personalised booking form upon request can be created for you to distribute to your guests, with details on how to book accommodation and transfers. YOur LOCATION Kings Canyon is the perfect setting for a wedding celebration of just 2, or for up 150 guests. No matter what the size is of your celebration, you will be offered personal service and attention to detail. where do we hold Our CErEmONY? Upon arrival at Kings Canyon Resort the resort Wedding Coordinator will show you the different sites for you to choose your ceremony location. For a unique ceremony experience, you can exchange your vows at Kings Canyon Resort lookout and having the canyon in the background, or alternatively along the boardwalk or at Kings Canyon. GETTING ThErE Located mid-way between Alice Springs and Uluru (Ayers Rock), Watarrka National Park covers 71,000 hectares and is home to Kings Canyon. King Canyon Resort is situated just 7km from the Canyon. Qantas flights arrive daily at Alice Springs and Ayers Rock Airports from major cities, including Cairns, Sydney and Perth. To transfer from the airport, organise a hire car at the airport or before you arrive. how will Our FrIENdS TrAvEL TO & FrOm KINGS CANYON? By distributing your invitations well in advance, your guests can easily make arrangements to book accommodation through the Reservations Team. 5
YOur CErEmONY LEGAL requirements To marry in Australia you must be 18 years of age or over. Documents that may be required from your celebrant consist of: Birth Certificate Valid 10 year passport If divorced Decree Absolute If widowed Death Certificate of former spouse and previous Marriage Certificate If your name has changed by deed poll legal proof YOur CELEbrANT Once you have confirmed your wedding date with our Wedding Department, we will then confirm a marriage celebrant who will conduct the ceremony. The marriage celebrant will discuss with you the legal procedures, as well as the ceremony content. FLOwErS A wedding bouquet for the bride and a button hole for the groom are included in your wedding package. Additional flowers can be arranged for your ceremony or reception. Notice of Intended Marriage available from Australian Embassy in your country Originals of all documents including Notice of Intended Marriage are required at the resort before the ceremony. 7
YOur CELEbrATION YOur reception Your Wedding Coordinator can tailor a reception to suit the size and style of your wedding. Kings Canyon offers a variety of reception options both indoor and outdoor. Your Wedding Coordinator will ensure that you and your guests leave Kings Canyon with lifelong memories of your special day. wedding CAKE A wedding cake for the bride and groom is included in the wedding package.
