INTRODUCTION GB Confgurng the outdoor sensor INTRODUCTION The outdoor sensor enables the measurement and transmsson of the outsde temperature to the heatng system. The heatng system adjusts the temperature of the heatng water accordng to the outsde temperature. The power s provded by a photovoltac cell. The outdoor sensor does not contan any batteres to replace. The wreless outdoor sensor has been desgned for use wth the Clmapro 2 RF programmable room thermostat or Systempro and s not compatble wth the clmastats, Clmapro and the Clmapro RF..2 Packagng By adherng to ths drectve, you are helpng the envronment and contrbutng to the preservaton of natural resources and the protecton of human health. We recommend that you recycle the packagng of the applance n a responsble fashon. Sort the waste n order to separate those elements whch can be recycled (cardboard, plastcs) and those whch cannot be recycled. Dspose of the waste n accordance wth exstng regulatons. Recyclng. Applance The recyclng of the packagng must be done by the qualfed professonal who has nstalled your applance. Most of the outdoor sensor s made of recyclable materals. Ths symbol ndcates that ths applance should not be deposted wth common refuse; t s to be collected separately for ts recovery, reuse or recyclng. Depost the applance at an approprate collecton pont for the treatment, evaluaton and recyclng. 00200249_00_PROTO_2-04/0 - Glow-worm - -

INSTALLATION INSTALLATION 2 3 4 S E W N 2,5 m Mountng locaton 5 ON Outdoor sensor Install the sensor so that t s sheltered from wnd, draughts and drect exposure to the sun. 6 A 2 B A B Heatng flow temperature External temperature 3 Settng the heatng curve Older propertes wth radators 2 Standard/modern house wth radators 3 Hghly nsulated modern house wth low temperature radators or underfloor heatng - 2-00200249_00_PROTO_2-04/0 - Glow-worm

INSTALLATION 2 Parng (detecton) It s possble to connect the outdoor sensor wth the Clmapro 2 RF programmable room thermostat (va the rado recever) or the Systempro control unt. The acton s carred out smultaneously on both the rado recever of the room thermostat or control unt and the outdoor temperature sensor. va rado recever OR va the control unt + the outdoor sensor 3 3 ON 2 A B 2 Legend Rado recever 2 Plug 3 Parng button Remove the plug (2) to access the parng button (3). Press the parng button (3) for 0 seconds. The outsde temperature appears on the room thermostat wthn 30 mnutes max. Legend Control unt From the nstallaton menu of the control unt select > Roomstat/Sensor > outdoor sensor > connecton The message Connecton completed s dsplayed on the screen of the control unt. Legend Outdoor temperature sensor 2 Parng button 3 Green LED Press the parng button (2), whch s on the back of the outdoor temperature sensor. The green LED (3) wll flash once. The outdoor sensor s then pared. 00200249_00_PROTO_2-04/0 - Glow-worm - 3 -

INSTALLATION 3 Settngs There are three parameters to set n the heatng system: -- the heatng curve, -- the maxmum flow heatng temperature, -- the correcton of the outdoor temperature. It s mportant that all the settngs are made on all the component parts of the heatng system: -- the Systempro control unt, -- the Clmapro 2 RF programmable room thermostat, -- the boler. The outdoor sensor sends data on the outsde temperature to the room thermostat (va the rado recever) or the control unt every 0 mnutes. Should the connecton to the outdoor sensor be nterrupted, the regulaton of the system wll be modfed after a perod of 7 days. The Systempro control unt wll make modfcatons accordng to an outsde temperature readng of 0 ºC (default). The room thermostat wll make modfcatons wthout takng nto account the outdoor temperature readng. 3. Adjustment of the heatng curve (fg. 6) Choose the curve(value adjustable between 0.2 and 4), whch allows you to obtan the maxmum heatng flow temperature for the usual mnmum outdoor temperature for the regon n whch the sensor s nstalled. Comment: The lower the heat loss of the house, the lower the value of the heat curve requred: [0.2-0.6] hghly nsulated modern house wth low temperature radators or underfloor heatng, [.5] standard/modern house wth radators, [2.5-4] older propertes wth radators. 3.2 Settng the maxmum flow heatng temperature. Ths functon, avalable on the control unt and on the boler, enables the maxmum heatng output temperature to be set (value adjustable between 30 C and 80 C). Consult the nstructon manuals of the control unt and the boler. 3.3 Outdoor temperature correcton Ths functon, avalable on the control unt and on the room thermostat, enables the temperature measured by the outdoor sensor to be corrected (+/- 5 C at C ntervals). Consult the Clmapro 2 RF nstructon manual. - 4-00200249_00_PROTO_2-04/0 - Glow-worm

MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE 4 Fault dagnoss Faults descrbed n ths chapter should be carred out by a qualfed engneer and f needed by the After Sales Servce. In the event of a problem: Check the error messages n the dsplay zone for the room thermostat. State Cause Soluton The room thermostat does not dsplay the external temperature or dsplays «T ext. --». The room thermostat dsplays an external temperature that s nconsstent or erroneous. The room thermostat dsplays «connecton error». The control unt dsplays «connecton error». The outdoor sensor s green LED flashes after parng. - Parng fault. - Rado sgnal transmsson fault. - Rado sgnal transmsson fault. Wat a maxmum of 30 mnutes after parng for the external temperature to be dsplayed. Reduce the dstance and the obstacles between the outdoor sensor and the heatng systems. Test the qualty of the rado sgnal (see the nstallaton notce for the room thermostat). If the result of the test s «connecton error», reduce the dstance and the obstacles between the outdoor sensor and the heatng system. - Parng fault. Re-perform the parng procedure between the outdoor sensor and the rado recever.
