Who is Pecatonica River? Pecatonica River Popcorn is located in Southwest Wisconsin. They have been making quality popcorn with an attention to detail since 1983. Over the years they have worked with a number of Boy Scout Councils while all the while specializing each sale to capitalize on each Councils strengths and assets. This includes everything from specific container designs, to unique products and specialized forms.

Online selling allows Scouts to sell to faraway friends and family. 70% of every purchase goes to the Scout s unit and council in his name. Why sell online? Plan Online Sales No deliveries! Pecatonica River ships the product directly to the consumer. Emails sent out each time an order ships so that the unit leader and the Scout can track sales. It s easy! Scouts register to sell with their unit leader. All online sales starting Sept. 1 through your council s sale end date are used to determine your prize level. Customer able to choose 1, 2 or 3 flavors from 12 to fill their tin. Also have the ability to buy Military Donations from $10-$100. Available Flavors Include: Caramel Corn, Cashew Thunder, Cheddar Cheese Corn, Cheesy Ranch, Microwave Butter, Jalapeno Cheese, Mud Puddles, Peanut Butter Cup, Sea Salt Splash, Microwave Kettle Corn, White Gold and White Ruby 18,19,23
22 Plan - Setting The Goal Only 44% of parents said their son set a goal Scouts who set goals average $626 in sales. Scouts with no goal average $304 in sales. Units that set sales goals sell twice as much as units without goals. Units that have money do more activities and have higher retention of Scouts.

For example, when the boys are at someone s door selling and the buyer says I don t know what to get the boy can say My pack did a taste testing session and we decided that Caramel was the best, but I like Mud Puddles so you should buy them both!

Organize Kick Off Role Play Script: Introduction: Hello! My name is. I m selling popcorn for. May I show you the different options we have? If they are not interested in purchasing any popcorn for themselves, tell them about the great gift options. If they are not interested in purchasing any popcorn as gifts, tell them about how they can support our troops overseas by purchasing a military donation. Don t forget to thank the customer, even if they did not purchase any popcorn.
Promote Super Saturday A day designed to stimulate scouts sales and encourage interaction. The entire unit goes to a house to learn some techniques for selling door to door and to gain some. The scouts, leaders and parents then divide and comb the neighborhood to see who can make the most sales. Meet back at starting place in a specified amount of ti. Give out a
Sale Plan / Super Saturday Approach: Work the entire zip code. Use a local map to mark off blocks worked. One parent with two Scouts per block. Shift can be 4 pm or 6 pm to 8 pm (when most people are home) Monday through Thursday All sales can be completed at the door. Sales will be $200 per hour or MORE! Scouts can achieve sales goal in one day! Each Unit needs a Sale Plan to reach their Goal!
