1 New Model Best Seller Project Plan 1 Objective: To make the book a best- seller on amazon.com (or bn.com) Best Seller Campaign Campaign Date: First Week Author Name: Overall Project On Track? Begin the process of planning and executing the action steps to make this campaign a best- seller! Addt l Info Set a date for the campaign (knowing the book will be completed, available and ready to ship) Do the research to find potential joint venture partners and enter them into a spreadsheet Confirm your book is available on amazon.com (or bn.com) Set your goals for the campaign (ranking, # of books sold) Use the Best Seller Project Plan as a guide to track the progress and activities in the project Create an to send to potential partners requesting their support in your campaign Begin to contact potential joint venture partners and track ALL activities (i.e. sent on ) in the joint venture partner report Ensure all of the s sent out to joint venture partners are personalized Track and record responses received from the joint venture partners Create a folder where you store the bonus gifts from partners as they come in via (some partners will confirm AND send you their bonus gift information). Be positive, enthusiastic and optimistic as you are personalizing every single you send out Decide if you are going to do additional promotional activities to support your campaign i.e. publicity, social media, article placement, 1

2 2 speaking engagements, teleseminars, pre- orders, videos, etc.) Optional ask others to post a review of the book on amazon.com OR bn.com Week #2 Overall Project On Track? Ensure the campaign reach has a huge potential. Stay active and make progress this week to get more partners on board in order to reach the best- seller goal. Keep searching for potential partners and adding them to the database Send out personalized s to each potential partner requesting their support Follow up with partner requests from last week (being politely persistent) Check in with the confirmed partners ask for their bonus gift if you do not already have it Look at items from the previous week and follow up on any outstanding items Revise joint venture partner request if needed (you may want to try different subject headings) Stay positive and focused throughout the process Prepare articles if you plan to do article placement The most important focus this week should be to add additional partners to your potential partner spreadsheet AND continue to contact them (with a personal ) Week #3 Overall Project On Track? Securing more and more partners strengthening the reach for the best- seller campaign Search for and add more potential joint venture partners for the campaign Contact more potential partners Track all partner activity to stay organized Begin to prepare the marketing copy (short ad, joint venture content and sales page/landing page copy) for the best- seller campaign Follow up with partners who have not responded to the s sent the previous two weeks Review previous two week activities list and check to see if there are any outstanding items that need attention 2

3 3 Keep track of all bonus gifts as well Stay organized and on top of everything Week #4 Overall Project On Track? Complete the copy and begin web page preparation AND continue to add more partners Continue to search for and contact more joint venture partners Track all activity with regard to potential and confirmed joint venture partners Complete the copy and begin to prepare your landing page (the URL where the potential buyers will be directed to) Gather up all bonus gifts and organize them Begin to prepare the web pages (the landing page/sales page AND the bonus gift page) Follow up on any activity from the previous weeks that requires attention Be sure any articles or excerpts from your book are also ready to go to partners who plan to include your article in their newsletter Customize any of the copy ( ) for any partners who may have requested this Ensure the buy link opens in a new window Ensure all of the bonus gift descriptions are easy to understand and listed on the special offer page Ensure the instructions and form fill in work perfectly Test all the bonus gift links to ensure they all work perfectly too Week #5 Make sure everything is ready to go for your campaign Overall Project On Track? Continue to make requests to joint venture partners there is still time to add more partners Follow up with all partners who are on board to support the campaign Be sure to send out the announcement to ALL partners Confirm receipt of announcement from ALL partners and track responses Send another reminder to partners who have not confirmed participation with polite persistence Thank the partners for being a part of your campaign as another way of staying in contact 3

4 4 with them perhaps highlight some of the great things about the campaign Be sure you have collected all of the bonus gifts AND the web pages are tested and working perfectly Use the best seller check list to be sure you are ready for the best seller campaign Smile, have fun and enjoy the process Week #6 Final check! Follow Up, Stay Focused and Have Fun Overall Project On Track? Continue to contact partners this week Follow up with partners who have not yet responded Follow up with partners who are on board Check the sales page and bonus gift page and make sure the links all work beautifully and perfectly Check the form fill- in to make sure it works perfectly Follow up on any activities that may be outstanding from any of the previous weeks Have fun and enjoy the process Make sure you are aware of the ranking of your book (presently) and be prepared to track the ranking on amazon.com on the day of your campaign (as instructed in the program) Ensure you are a subscriber to all of your partners lists so that you can confirm when they send out your on your campaign date Best Seller Day Watch the rankings enjoy the day be ready for what s next Overall Project On Track? Open up your spreadsheet and check off as your partners send their s out for your campaign Thank your partners and keep them up to date with the progress of your activity (i.e. Your sales ranking on amazon.com or bn.com) Capture the screen shots of your ranking as it changes as you check the ranking hour by hour by hour all day long Respond to any requests you may have from prospective buyers, partners or buyers 4

5 5 Be ready to follow up with a media release (announcing the best- seller and your book with something newsworthy ) Optional Be ready if any foreign rights publishers contact you and express interest in buying the rights to your book Make sure the sales page and the download page continue to work properly Add any additional partners you may get leads from your existing partners or you may receive s from partners wanting to jump on board to support you respond immediately to these requests Enjoy the day and share in your excitement with others (ask your friends to write messages on social media about your campaign). 5
