Logging on to K.U.Leuven In order to access ICT services, you need to log onto the network using the Central K.U.Leuven Login.

This number is on the back of the student card Activate your userid on http://activate.kuleuven.be Log on with your intranet userid and the activation code found on the scratch card
Password Do not use a trivial password Your password is 8 characters at least 1 number at least 1 captial at least 1 small character Change it in order to get access to the ICT-services

Anti-virus Be careful on the internet! McAfee Virusscan can be downloaded for free via our campus wide license! If your computer is infected with a virus, your KotNet connection can be blocked.
Spam K.U.Leuven-mails are automatically scanned for spam characteristics. Spam gets the tag [SPAM?] inserted into the subject. These mails will be put into your Junk Mail folder.
Backup Don t forget to take regular backups! You can backup on a CD/DVD a memory-stick your MP3-player
