Purpose of the job To maximise the potential of Enterprise activity to provide unrestricted income to support wider charitable objectives. Responsible for developing and delivering a product and income generating strategy and bringing solutions to market capable of delivering circa 1million in unrestricted income to Victim Support within 3 years and to develop a new pipeline of activity in line within the organisations strategic goals to ensure continued growth of 25% year on year within 5 years. The above to include ongoing development of the strategy and to ensure all current and new product solutions protect and promote the VS brand in line with the relevant governance and VS charitable aims reporting to the Income Generation Board and Director. 2. Main duties Business Management Manage and develop the Enterprise portfolio (Licensing both in house and externally managed, Safer Tourism, selling of Secure Systems and Victim Awareness Courses, plus others to be determined) to deliver circa 1m of income in year 4 (2019/20). Create and agree strategic business plans, budgets, business models, resource plans and associated risk management processes Set up and lead on the administration and governance of a new Income Generation board that includes Fundraising, Trustees and other Enterprise experts. Review standards, KPI s, audits, policies and procedures and implement consistent processes to drive business performance Lead on the account management of each external commercial partner with the relevant Enterprise strand leads Lead on all external product partnership relationships including performance, contract negotiation, business planning and service level agreements Use financial modelling and management to identify new opportunities, manage existing performance and report to the business
To monitor and report on all dept activity through normal governance processes to the Director Manage marketing activity with external product partners and support best use of the budgets across a multitude of channels Work with key departments to combine environment intelligence to ensure the strategic context reflects the current environment, operational changes, risk mitigation and ensures consistent business income growth for VS Manage business continuity plan and crisis management plans to protect the brand and VS Business Performance Meet or exceed annual income and net profit delivery targets across the Enterprise plan in line with budgetary expectations, managing expenditure to achieve return on investment overall. Maintain up to date knowledge of competitors, market place and trends with fully developed reporting structures on customer satisfaction Commission internal support to deliver marketing, communications and legal support. Support VS as the key lead for all PR, public speaking events and industry events to inform and support the build of VS as first point of choice in its chosen markets. To deliver ROI in line with the business plan, ensuring all KPIs are met or exceeded People and Performance Management Ensure the right culture, skills and, knowledge are in place to deliver the business plan Ensure performance management and people development processes are in place across the team Develop team structures which support profit objectives and business needs Ensure business management and financial reports are communicated to direct reports Support the relevant internal boards/meeting requirements for key strategic lead and operational management Product Development Devise strategy to significantly develop income from affinity/commercial relationships/brand leverage in line with agreed objectives and VS protocols Maximise profitable opportunities to grow victim or preventative solutions through mutually beneficial relationships with third parties Mitigate risk to VS and comply with legislation through implementing robust contracts, controls and service level agreements with third parties Devise product development protocols and decision processes to ensure they provide good decision making and risk management. Negotiate commercial terms and manage contract process ensuring sign off by the Director, where required Utilise all potential routes to market internal and external enabling cross VS promotion
Manage the core business ensuring stability and long term income streams are protected with tangible growth Identify and develop varying models of relationships in line with profit and branding requirements Create an effective communications plan of all activities to ensure appropriate governance sign off and ongoing control and monitoring Manage a new Product development assessment process prior to Income Generation Board presentation Ensure all product development works to a defined plan with clear project management and service delivery targets Monitor the effectiveness of pricing against sales, retention and profit plans Agree the pricing structure of the products and negotiate USP and other terms & conditions with prospective partners and suppliers to provide the best possible terms for our customers/consumers within agreed frameworks Strategic Activity Work collaboratively across VS to ensure improved presence and representation for all Enterprise activities is maximised. Review and implement effective communication streams which drive profit growth whilst supporting VS aims Develop a PR plan through free and paid for press via a variety of media to generate increased awareness and profits. Key spokesperson for the Enterprise operation to provide positive enforcement of our enterprise and product development supporting trials and ensuring VS take forward products that are in line with organisational aims with controlled tests and the correct review mechanisms Maintain the corporate identity of VS throughout all initiatives and ensure ethical use of the brand. To represent Enterprise at Trustee Board as required 3.
