Working with Health Services (70%) Work with clinicians and service managers to establish MS specialist telemedicine clinics at rural hospitals and GP surgeries. This will involve gathering their views on possible developments, persuading them of the benefits of this approach, arranging clinics and providing support for the clinics as necessary. Source training and support for clinicians and others in using videoconference equipment. Work with clinicians to establish GP email advice service Seek to develop ways of delivering MS specialist support direct to people s homes by videoconference. 2 Project development and delivery (15%) Gather the views of people with MS to inform project development, by attending branch and support group meetings, questionnaires and other means. Promote the project amongst people with MS, clinicians and other relevant stakeholders. Developing relationships and links, and a communication system for the project. Help organise MS awareness events for GPs Organise other events as necessary to promote and develop the project. (3).Project management (15%) Assist the project evaluation process Identify opportunities for further project funding Prepare regular project reports - 4 -

External links (5%) Work with the Rural Health Telemedicine Group (Welsh Assembly) and Neuro Response to take advantage of new developments in telemedicine and ensure shared learning from the project. Other Duties The post holder will need to travel extensively throughout Wales The post holder should be prepared to attend MS Society meetings in different parts of the country including MS National Centre. Some meetings may be during evenings or weekends. The post holder will be required to apply for a Disclosure check The post holder will be working in a developing environment and he/she will therefore be expected to undertake other appropriate duties as required for the effective operation of the MS Society. 1.
