EXPECTATIONS O ACC classes are not LTHS classes. You must register for an ACC class through the ACC application and registration process. O Grades will appear as a number grade on your high school transcript (not calculated in high school GPA); will appear as a letter grade on your college transcript (may be calculated in your college GPA & can impact financial aide and acceptance)
EXPECTATIONS O Classes taken on an LTHS campus are free of charge. Classes taken online or at an ACC campus will cost $75.00 O All students will be required to purchase the required textbooks and materials for each class.
Expectations O Ability to write college level research papers O O O O and or essay style exams Accountability for missed assignments; most classes don t have make up work Heavy reading expectation outside of class College courses subject to ACC curriculum Expect to commit 2 additional hours of study time for success
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) O *** Students MUST meet SAP to be eligible for initial financial aid consideration. This includes Early College Start courses taken at/through ACC*** O Three components: GPA, Completion Rate, & Maximum time frame
SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS CONT. O GPA 2.0 cumulative GPA on all hours attempted at ACC O Completion Rate must complete 67% of all hours attempted at ACC. Completion rate is different for each university. Ex: UT 75%, Texas A & M 75%,Tx State 70% **CHECK THE SCHOOL OF YOUR CHOICE ** PERFORMANCE IN THE DUAL CREDIT CLASS MAY IMPACT ADMISSIONS & FINACIAL AID PACKAGES.

What if I don t meet test scores? O TSI Assessment Students that do not have qualifying test scores must take the TSI Assessment to demonstrate college readiness. O Scores needed on the TSI Assessment: Reading 351 Writing Essay 5+ OR Essay 4 and multiple choice 363+ Math - 350

STEP TWO O ORIENTATION (TOP) Complete The Orientation Program online at www.austincc.edu/nexus using your ACCeID.

PRINT AND TURN IN TO MRS. FANNING BEFORE GETTING AN ECS FORM (STEP 4).
STEP THREE-TESTING O Determine if testing is required. ACT: Composite 23 and 19 English and 19 math SAT: 1070 Combined CR & M and 500 critical reading and 500 math STAAR: English III Level 2; Algebra II Level 2 For ECS only while in high school: PLAN (ASPIRE): Composite 23 and 19 English and 19 math PSAT: 107 Combined CR & M and 50 critical reading and 50 math STAAR: English II (combined reading & writing test) scaled score of 4000+ STAAR: Algebra I scaled score of 4000+ and (70 or higher) in high school algebra II O IF TESTING IS REQUIRED: O OBTAIN A COPY OF A FEE WAIVER FROM YOUR COUNSELOR & PROCEED TO NEXT SLIDE
STEP THREE-TESTING O COMPLETE Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) prior to testing. PAA can be completed online using your ACCeID @ www.austincc.edu/nexus O PRINT your completion certificate for PAA and present to testing staff upon arrival for testing along with your photo ID IF testing at an ACC campus.
TSI TESTING O TEST AT LTHS ON APRIL 11 1. Complete steps 1 & 2 online. 2. Turn PAA completion certificate to Mrs. Fanning by March 27 in order to sign up test at LTHS. There are only 60 seats available for testing at LTHS. Once those spots have been filled, students will have to test at an ACC location.
TSI TESTING O If you are wanting to test at LTHS on April 11, the PAA must be turned in to Mrs. Fanning by March 27 in order to sign up for the test at LTHS. Only 60 seats available. If testing at an ACC location: O You must complete Step 1, 2 and your PAA. You will take the PAA and a photo ID and schedule a time to test at any ACC testing center. O The testing center information is located at the bottom of the fee waiver (available from your counselor). The Cypress and Riverside campuses offer some Saturday testing dates. Call to schedule your test time.
STEP FOUR O OBTAIN & COMPLETE ECS FORM O ECS Forms are available for pick up in the counseling office from 8:00-8:30 on these dates: JUNIORS ONLY March 24, 25, 26, 27, 28,30 O Must turn in the required paperwork before picking up an ECS form.
STEP FOUR O SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING PAPERWORK TO MRS. FANNING BY APRIL 1 IN ORDER TO BE ADVISED AT LTHS: O 1. LTHS Verification O 2.TOP CERTIFICATE (Online Orientation) O 3. TEST SCORES ONLY IF YOU TOOK TSI (we will provide PSAT OR EOC scores) O 4. ECS FORM O MEET WITH ACC ADVISOR APRIL 8 @ LTHS O YOU MUST BE ADVISED BEFORE REGISTERING FOR ANY ACC CLASS.
STEP FIVE O REGISTER FOR ACC DURING THE REGISTRATION PERIOD, USING ACC ONLINE SERVICES: O www.austincc.edu/online-services O Summer - RETURNING students - APRIL 20 NEW students MAY 4 ***Submission of your ECS form does NOT register you into ACC classes. You MUST register for the ACC class through the ACC website to be enrolled in the class!!!
STEP SIX O Tuition Payment - Only applicable if you are taking online course or taking a class at an ACC Campus. O If you believe your balance is an error, contact the ECS office immediately.
