Setting up Your Acusis Email Address in Microsoft Outlook Click on your Microsoft Outlook Version you are using: Microsoft Outlook 2002/XP Microsoft Outlook 2003 Microsoft Outlook 2007 Microsoft Outlook 2010
Microsoft Outlook 2002/XP The combination of SMTP and POP3 protocols are the most common methods used to send and receive email from an Exchange Server from a remote client. Almost all users are familiar with SMTP/POP3 email and therefore it is often the remote mail access method of choice. Perform the following steps to configure the Outlook 2002 client to use SMTP/POP3 to access mail on the published Exchange Server: 1. Right click the Outlook 2002 icon on the desktop and click the Properties command (figure 1). Figure 1 2. If Outlook icon not found in your desktop you can go to Control Panel and double click on Mail Icon.
3. In the Mail Setup Outlook dialog box (figure 2), click on the E-mail Accounts button in the E-mail Accounts frame. Figure 2 4. Select the Add a new e-mail account option in the E-mail Accounts page (figure 3). Figure 3
5. On the Server Type page (figure 4), select the POP3 option. Figure 4 6. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3/IMAP) window, enter your information as follows: You re Name: Type your full name. E-mail Address: xxxx.xxxx@acusis.com. (Your e-mail ID) Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.acusis.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.acusis.com User Name: xxxx.xxxx@acusis.com. It takes automatically else you can enter manually Password: Your Acusis email account password. 7. Click the More Settings button (figure 5). Figure 5
8. On the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box go to Outgoing Server tab 9. Put the check mark on My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication 10. Make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button is chosen. (Figure 6) 11. Click on OK Figure 6 12. Click on Test Account Settings button to check the configuration. Make sure all tasks status is completed.

Under Logon Information User name will auto populate, you need to enter the Acusis E-mail password which you received from Acusis. 7. Click on More Settings button. 8.
