Young Mascot Designer Competition Criteria This competition is to design the Devon School Games Mascot. This mascot will be used as an image throughout the School Games in 2015 and beyond. We will also have a life size mascot made using the winning design so please consider the realistic characteristics of the design I.e. How does it see?, How does it move? Does it have name? The entry can be created on a computer with a suitable programme or on paper using a range of pencils, pens, fabrics or other art materials. Please use the human outline image when designing your mascot, enclosed in this pack. The mascot may be designed with the key ethos of The School Games, PE, School Sport and Devon in mind, including the Spirit of the Games Values (see additional pages). There are some supporting information sheets around the Spirit of the Games and photos of past events that may be used to stimulate more ideas. Please ensure all entries state the full name of the child, the School, the Key Stage and a contact for the School. Additional Information This mascot will be used at a number of the Level 3 School Games finals, as well as by School Games Organisers at a variety of District School Games events. All entries will be judged by a panel consisting of the School Games Local Organising Committee, School Games Organisers and Creative Frenzy, the mascot production company. There will be Gold medal winners from each Key Stage group. More information about the games can be found at: www.activedevon.org/schoolgames How to enter There will be just one entry deadline: Friday 12 th December 2014 at 5pm.
