Lebanon A small but diverse country in the Middle East, holds scores World Heritage Sites. Mint and Print (MAP 2016) After the successful events in 2012 and 2014, MAP has become an established international conference in banknotes printing and coins minting. MAP2016 is the third edition of Mint and Print international conference, organized by Banque Du Liban (the central bank of Lebanon). This event provides an opportunity to take part in interactive discussions between attendees from around 50 invited central banks mainly representing the Middle East, Africa, and beyond as well as 25 expected sponsors & speakers representing paper mills, mints, printing and processing companies. The event is aimed to be repeated every two years. The conference will also include a paper revealing the preliminary findings of an industry study titled: Banknote Substrate Durability: A live circulation comparative study. The study aims at presenting a live circulation trial, considering a set of well-known substrates in the market, in addition to the impact of varnishing, intaglio and climate variations and public habits. This paper will be presented by Banque du Liban. MAP 2016 is directed towards central banks governors,vice governors, and directors of issue department. It will be a platform for central banks, banknotes printers, coins minters, and other experts to discuss the current situation, challenges and advancements in this industry.

Beirut Money Fair (BMF 2016) Beirut Money fair, the first of its kind in the Middle East, is being held for the first time in September 2016.
