1 The IPA Cyprus Section looks forward to hosting the 2007 International Youth Gathering. This exciting 2 week tour will be hosted by two coastal IPA Regions in Cyprus, Larnaca 17 July and Limassol 715 July In both towns, the youths will be accommodated in two 3star hotels, the Henipa in Larnaca and Park Beach in Limassol. The 2week programme, together with the Registration Form, is attached. Applicants elected by their National Sections are to complete the Registration Form and return it to the Organising Committee together with the Booking Fee of 50 by 31 March 2007 the latest. The booking fee is nonrefundable. The 2007 Youth Gathering is designed for teenagers between the ages of 15 and 18 years. No one will be accepted under the age of 15 or over the age of 18 years. Each Section may send up to 2 youths with an option of a 3 rd applicant pending availability. Participation is limited to 50 applicants only. Please note the gathering will be conducted in the English language and no translators will be available. PARENTAL AGREEMENT Our son/daughter has discussed the subject/matter with us and has full permission to apply and participate at the International Youth Gathering (IYG). We, as parents of the applicant, hereby grant permission for our son/daughter to travel abroad, according to the Rules of the IYG of IPA and confirm we have read the Rules of IPA and agree to follow them. We also confirm that our son/daughter will have insurance against illness, accident or other risks that may occur during his/her stay abroad. We declare he/she is of good health and does not to our knowledge suffer from any contagious disease. If any serious illness should appear during his/her stay abroad, the hosts are authorized to request medical care that we shall pay for. GENERAL You will go abroad as an ambassador of your country and your country will be judged by your conduct. It is important that your actions serve this objective as much as possible. The aim of your journey is to put you in contact with foreign people in order to get to know their way of life, way of thinking and their culture. Thus you contribute to the promotion of understanding among people in the best IPA tradition. You must establish and maintain contacts with foreign young people. In other words, you must be a good mixer. Each participant will be asked to write a report about the experiences accumulated during the Gathering. The use of alcohol and drugs are strictly forbidden. While under the control of the Gathering you are forbidden to drive a vehicle. If the Organisers consider your conduct inappropriate, you will immediately be sent home.
