WEDDING PACKAGE CELEBRATE YOUR LOVE IN THAI STYLE THB 78,400++ (VALID FROM 01 ST APRIL 2011 UNTIL 31 ST MARCH 2012) This traditional Thai ceremony is performed by 3 Buddhist monks. It begins with a sacred chanting by the monks, followed by the blessing of the bride and the groom by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon, which signifies that although the individual identities of these two people are kept, their destinies are now linked. This is followed by the Head-Monk pouring blessed water over the heads of the bride and groom, which is then collected in a bowl of ornately arranged flowers. The guests of the bride and the groom also bless the couple on a water-blessing altar. Within 24 hours the photographer will deliver a CD-ROM with the digital pictures, glossy printed pictures and one framed picture. The CD-ROM is compatible with major Photo labs for printing. LEGAL PROCEDURE The below information is provided as a guideline for the legal procedure in Thailand and it may be changed by the Thai Government without prior notice. To ensure you obtain the most current information and should you wish to obtain further details, we recommend contacting the Thai Embassy in your location. Below are steps to follow for having your wedding validated by the Authorities in Thailand and recognised abroad: 1. Issue the certificate Letter for bride and groom from the respective Embassy of your country in Thailand (in English Language). 2. The Certificate Letter of bride and groom issued in English language by the embassies has to be translated into Thai language by any Law office in Bangkok. 3. The original documents from point 1 and 2 must be validated and stamped (on every page) by The Ministry of Foreign Affair in Bangkok. Note: The valid passports of bride and groom must be shown for steps 1, 2 and 3. To complete the above, please allow 3 working days in Bangkok. It is strongly recommended to make appointments with the Authorities in order to have the documents issued on time. 4. Once arrive in Khao Lak, the documents will be given to the Takua Pa City Hall a few days prior to the wedding (according to check-in date) for issuing the Wedding certificate (in Thai language). The bride and groom have the option to go to the City Hall for signing the official documents, or calling the Authorities to come to the hotel for signing the documents after the wedding ceremony. Point 4 will be handled by Le Méridien Khao Lak and is subject to a fee of THB 6,500 for both options. Please note that the hotel is not responsible for completing steps 1 to 4; the bride and groom are solely responsible for issuing the correct documents. Steps 1 to 4 are not required if the bride and groom do not need a legal paper certifying their marriage.
