We also offer expert, specialist support to parents, support workers, teachers, coaches, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, sport providers and other professionals on how to adapt sports for people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Cerebral Palsy Sport is also a national member of the Cerebral Palsy International Sport and Recreation Association (CPISRA) and was the proud host of the Nottingham 2015 CPISRA World Games. Cerebral Palsy Sport was also a founding member of the British Paralympic Association and the English Federation of Disability Sports. Cerebral Palsy Sport is a successful and respected influencer and change maker. At the core of the organisation is putting people with cerebral palsy at the heart of what we do and creating sporting opportunities for people with cerebral palsy. Every year we help hundreds of children, young people and adults disadvantaged by their physical disability to experience the life-changing benefits that participating in sport can provide. All this is only possible because of the work of our fundraising team and the funding we receive from funders, supporters and individuals. This includes key agencies such as Sport England and we work in partnership with a wide range of partners including County Sports Partnerships, National Sports Governing Bodies, the English Federation for Disability Sport (EFDS), Disability Rights UK, Youth Sport Trust, schools, colleges, parents, families and many more. Cerebral Palsy Sport was a founding member of the British Paralympic Association and remains a member today. Our Structure Cerebral Palsy Sport currently employs 11 team members: Chief Executive, 1 National Sports Development Manager, 5 National Sports Development Officers, 1 Fundraising and Business Development Manager, 2 Fundraising Officers, and 1 Administrator. We are based at the Nottingham Science and Technology Park in Nottingham, East Midlands. Cerebral Palsy Sport is governed by a Board of Trustees that bring a range of skills in supporting the organisation with governance decisions. The Board of Trustees consists of up to twelve independent individuals with a range of skills and competencies across key sectors that enables Cerebral Palsy Sport to operate as an effective strategic national disability sports organisation (NDSO), charity and a Limited Company. Fundraising and Business Development Manager Role This post is responsible for the management of the Cerebral Palsy Sport Fundraising team and Administrator with the Chief Executive. The primary role of the post is to generate grants and trusts fundraising income for the organisation through statutory and lottery grants; bids and donations, events; contracts; oversee the community fundraising and corporate fundraising functions; and effective business information systems operation.

The post will also develop relationships and partnerships with external key partners and organisations as well as providing strategic direction and advice to the Cerebral Palsy Sport fundraising and administration teams and Cerebral Palsy Sport Board. The primary role of the post is to generate grants and trusts fundraising income for the organisation through statutory and lottery grants; bids, events; contracts; oversee the community and corporate fundraising functions; and effective business information systems operation. Job Description Key duties and responsibilities: Opportunities for All To line manage the Fundraising Officers and Administration team and their work plans / outputs with effective performance review systems and appraisal. Responsible for the development of grants funding bids from statutory and voluntary grant sources and development projects to enable the growth and widening of fundraising opportunities. To lead on the submissions of grant bids to charitable trusts and foundations to maximise income for the charity. To manage the development and delivery of each fundraising and administration plans to increase fundraising and retail income. To monitor the effectiveness of the delivery and development of the programmes and produce funder reports, reconciliations and evaluation reports accordingly. To support and contribute to the development of the Cerebral Palsy Sport Strategic Planning process and plan. Training for the Future: To provide advice, information and guidance to professionals on issues relating to working with children and young people with cerebral palsy in

sport. To respond in timely manner to enquiries from external organisations on a range of Cerebral Palsy Sport s fundraising development programmes. To oversee the development of team member s personal development plans and continuous professional development. To strategically support the development and up-skilling of Cerebral Palsy Sport Sport s volunteer workforce and retention. To ensure adherence to current data protection legislation, safeguarding and safe systems of work. Partnerships and Strategic Alliances are key To build beneficial partnerships and relationships with funding organisations and bodies to increase fundraising opportunities and income for the organisation. To support the development of strong and effective alliances with partners to support the overall development of the fundraising team s work. To strategically support the development and up-skilling of Cerebral Palsy Sport Sport s volunteer workforce and retention. To build and maintain sustainable partnerships with third sector organisations; groups and people with cerebral palsy to increase awareness and to increase engagement in fundraising activities. To oversee the effective reporting back to key funding organisations and funders. Promoting Our Message To support the promotion and marketing activity relating to the overall promotional suite of Cerebral Palsy Sport packages and development programmes through effective communications, promotions and marketing liaison; communication to external networks and partners. Support the development of the organisation s effective internal and external communication systems To attend and support national, regional and local events; exhibitions and conferences to represent the organisation. To oversee Cerebral Palsy Sport s development of fundraising case studies; consultation with funders; capturing feedback and evaluation from funding organisations to improve Cerebral Palsy Sport s insight into the needs of supporters and funders. To produce summary reports and trend analysis accordingly from these processes. To produce written progress reports as required by Cerebral Palsy Sport Chief Executive and Board. To implement a fundraising and business development plan to maximise fundraising opportunities and income through the submission of high quality bids and proposals. To oversee and manage the development of funder; donor and supporter database and tracking systems to enable the use of information for quality based funding bids. To maintain a good awareness of all of Cerebral Palsy Sport s work, and awareness of external fundraising environment and contribute towards the growth and raising of awareness of opportunities for both fundraising, retail and business development functions. Resources Effectively Managed by All: To support the preparation of Cerebral Palsy Sport Fundraising and Administration development budget forecasts and maintain financial records and grants profile where appropriate. To oversee the development of a retail sales development plan to maximise income and opportunities for sales. To establish appropriate administrative system; maintain accurate and effective records where appropriate. Produce written reports, including income and expenditure forecast and actuals as well as monthly reports. Summary of Terms and Conditions This summary is given as a guide and is not intended to form part of a contract of employment Salary The salary for the post is up to c 32,000 per annum. This figure is reviewed annually in line with pay wards to other members of the organisational team. Contract The job is offered as a full time fixed term contract to 30 th September 2017. Hours of Work Normal officer hours are 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with a 30 unpaid lunch break. However evening and weekend work will be required in this role. Frequency and Method of Payment of Salary Salaries are paid monthly on 23 rd of each month direct to your Bank or Building Society account. Holidays There is an entitlement of 28 days plus Bank Holidays. The leave year runs from 1 st April to 31 st March the following year. Sickness Policy Cerebral Palsy Sport has a sickness policy which you will be given on commencement. Pension Scheme With effect from the third month following commencement of your employment, you will be invited to become a member of the charity s pension scheme. At current time, an employee s minimum contribution is 3%, though you may choose to contribute more. This will be reviewed annually in line with the government s Automatic Pension Enrolment Scheme. The pension is provided from Scottish Widows. Policy on Smoking Cerebral Palsy Sport operates a non-smoking policy. Probationary Period You will be employed on a six month probationary period. Should either party wish to terminate the employment during this period, then one week s notice will be required on either side, except for summary termination or gross misconduct. Notice Period Three calendar months are required by either party after satisfactory completion of the probationary period.

Training Cerebral Palsy Sport provides opportunities for all staff to undertake professional skills training in relation to their role, through an agreed performance and development review process.
