June 8 th -June11th Course Descriptions Course name: Kitchen / Cookin Grades: K-3 Description: Every family has its own personal chemistry lab--and it's usually the most popular room in the house. The trouble is, many of us don't realize what we're doin every day. When we toast bread, bake brownies, or pop popcorn it's chemistry! We will address a food-related science question with simple explanations and hands-on experiments. We'll learn some fun thins about science and, you never know, your kids MAY just want to cook dinner for you! Course name: Whiz Kid Grades: 2-3 Description: Whiz Kids! Create, build, proram robots, problem-solve, learn code, desin, communicate, collaborate, and discover how to be an expert and leader in technoloy! This is a reat course to make new friends and network with other kids who have similar interests. Whiz Kids will experience a little bit of everythin in the fields of technoloy and enineerin includin Leo WeDo, Codin (Code.or),, Leo and KNEX free build, Leo NXT, Capsela, OWI, Leo EV3, RoboSapien, and My Leo Network to name a few. Various apps will also be explored (on personal devices). Course Name: Icky, Creepy and Just Plain Gross Science Projects Grades: K-2 Description: Call it the EWWW factor, but nothin is more fun than ettin your hands dirty while learnin about science. We will use technoloy to research answers to questions about science then conduct some pretty ross experiments to test our findins.

Students will build the space station, robot, rover, vehicle, astronaut, shuttle, and do. Throuhout the week, students will also learn basic buildin and prorammin skills usin a variety of robotics kits (includin OWI, Leo Mindstorms, and VEX) and computer prorammin. Activities will vary by ae and ability. By the end of the week, they will have their very own to take home with them to continue learnin about robotics in their world. Course Description: Wet and Wild ~ Water Grades: 2-5 Description: Have you ever made waves in a pool and wondered how the waves of the ocean develop? Have you ever walked down to the beach and questioned why the water is sometimes close to the dunes or really far away? Well this camp is for you! In this fun and beachy camp we will learn about the ocean waves, why there are hih tides and low tides, and all about surface and under water currents. We will build our own waves and conduct an experiment on the tides of the ocean! To celebrate all of our hard work, we will also be enjoyin a yummy beachy treat and maybe et a little wet!

Students will put toether a storyboard and be taken throuh the writin process as they create a simple, intuitive, and powerful time-lapsed movie. Students will use an IOS app to make the movie. Come take a wild ride as we explore the excitin field of chemistry! Youn scientists will make sticky ice, use litmus paper, create bubble sculptures, wake-up funus, and much more! Come take a wild ride into the human body with some breathtakin experiments! Course Name: Sunny Art Grades: K-2 Description: This will be a fun and excitin art camp and a chance to learn all about the sunny summer sun!
