4 3D DIGITAL CHARACTER DESIGN Learn the basics of creating a 3D character from scratch for games or animation. 8 YOUNG FILMMAKERS FORTNIGHT This exciting new course, run over a two-week period, is designed for young people (aged years) who are passionate about filmmaking and want to extend their knowledge and skills in a creatively stimulating environment. You will hear from professionals in each craft area of the filmmaking process about what their roles involve and how they progressed their careers in the Australian film industry. Plus with the guidance of professionals at every stage, you ll try your hand at a variety of different roles. You ll learn how to write scenes, direct sequences, understand camera and lighting and work collaboratively on creating a short film. You ll learn about: scriptwriting, art direction and set design, performance for the screen & directing actors, cinematography, lighting, sound effects, directing, editing (using Adobe Premiere Pro) and producing. Plus at the end of the course your family and friends will be invited to attend a screening of your group s films in the AFTRS theatre. 9 STOP MOTION MOVIE MAKING: THE NEXT STEP Already know the basics of stop motion movie making but want to learn more? You ll have the opportunity to create a high quality film by refining elements such as character design, story, timing plus special effects. Green screen and compositing techniques will give your story limitless possibilities! This course is suitable if you ve already done our Make a Stop Motion Movie course or are very familiar with istopmotion and clay modelling techniques. Professional and enjoyable. You ll use a variety of softwares including: Unity, Blender, Flash CC, Photoshop CC and Maya, plus spend time designing and developing both the world and the characters for your unique game. I did what I thought was impossible and I m impressed with what I managed to do. 10 SCREEN ACTING Come to Australia s premiere film school for this fantastic screen acting workshop! Learn acting techniques from an experienced screen actor in a professional studio. My daughter enjoyed the course very much! She learned heaps, had lots of fun and made many new friends. We both thought the school was amazingly well equipped.
