Careful with the irregulars ( go-go ) verbs (drop the go from the yo form) and ir (ve), ser (sé), and hacer (haz) #2) What is a direct, indirect, and reflexive pronoun? R: Direct Object WHO or WHAT receives the action of the verb. They can be replaced with a direct object pronoun (me, te, lo, la, nos, los, las) Indirect Object TO WHOM or FOR WHOM an action is intended. They can be replaced with an indirect object pronoun (me, te, le, nos, les) Reflexive Pronoun indicates an action being done to ONESELF. The reflexive pronouns are me, te, se, nos #3) Where is the direct, indirect, or reflexive pronoun placed if you have a POSITIVE command? R: ATTACH the DIRECT, INDIRECT, or REFLEXIVE pronoun to the end of the command and attach a written accent mark above the 3 rd to last syllable (usually the 3 rd to last vowel)

No lo molestemos. = This is a NOSOTROS COMMAND ((it is formed by dropping the e or a from the Ud. Command and additng the opposite nosotros ending. Remember: With any NEGATIVE COMMAND any direct, indirect, or reflexive pronoun would go BEFORE the verb.

REPASO 30/11 Formal Commands 1) To form an Usted command, simply take the s off from the tú negative command Ejemplo: No la tires la basura (tú command) No la tire la basura (Ud. Command) 2) To form an Ustedes command, simply add the letter n to the end of the Ud. Command Ejemplo: No la tire. (Ud. Command) No la tiren. (Uds. Command) * NOTE: Positive and Negative Ud. & Uds. commands are exactly the same. Ejemplo: Tírela. No la tire (la basura) (Ud.) Tírenla. No la tiren (la basura) (Uds.)

Señor, córteselo. = Cut it (your hair). * Notice that here we have a DOUBLE object pronoun. NOTES 30/11: When you have a reflexive pronoun with a DOP or IOP, place the reflexive pronoun in front of the DOP or IOP

NOTES 30/11 When a DIRECT and INDIRECT object pronoun that both begin with the letter l are used in the same sentence, change the le to se. If the command is POSITIVE, count back three syllables from the indirect object pronoun and place an accent mark.
