1 Spanish III Curriculum Map Nevada/National s 1.1: Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions 1.2: Students understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics 1.3: Students present information, concepts, and ideas to an audience of listeners or readers on a variety of topics. 2.1: Students demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the culture studied 2.2: Students demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the products and perspectives of the culture studied 3.1: Students reinforce and further their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreign language 3.2: Students acquire information and recognize the distinctive viewpoints that are only available through the foreign language and its cultures : Students demonstrate understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of the language studied and their own 4.2: Students demonstrate understanding of the concept of culture through comparisons of the cultures studied and their own. 5.1: Students use the language both within and beyond the school setting 5.2: Students show evidence of becoming life-long learners by using the language for personal enjoyment and enrichment. 2 Key every class. Informal Listening me speak in class. Informal oral: Writing Across the Curriculum Quizzes Tests will be assigned, graded on accuracy and effort, reviewed and assessed Student will listen to short listening exercised and answer questions as well as listen to Students will do various speaking activities in partners, alone and as a class. Students will have three essays a semester, two of which will be included in their projects. Students will be assessed with quizzes on current grammar and vocabulary. They will be written. Students will be assessed with tests on current grammar and vocabulary. They will be written. 4 Week Mastery Every four weeks, students will take a common exam. 9 Week Final Exam Every nine weeks, students will take a common scantron and oral exam. Projects Once a semester students will create and present a project.

Quiz Written: Know Preterite verb endings and how to conjugate them 4 Week Mastery : All Spanish III classes will give the same 4 week test to measure/compare/cooperate/share results for overall department evaluation and continuity. The test will be fill- in the blank, listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary from the first four weeks.
5 Review imperfect tense: regular verbs and irregulars 5-6 Unit 1.1 Unit 1.2 Review imperfect vs preterite: review how to form, when used and trigger words Master the present and past perfect tenses: how to form and conjugate as well as how to form irregular past participles. --Personality, Physical Appearance, Comparisons, Interactions, Fashion and Pastimes 1.1,1.2, 1.5,1.8, 2.0, ,3.0, 1.2, 1.3, Informal listening: Students will listen in the past and write what happened. Students will listen to a scenario on fashion and describe what they hear. Informal oral: Students will speak on a given topic using the past perfect. Students will also engage in oral activities from the book. Quiz Written : Students will be quizzed on vocabulary from Unit 1.1. They Test Written: Students will listen and write. They will answer multiple choice questions from a listening scenario, conjugate verbs and define vocabulary.
