The olomites were placed on the UNESCO World Heritage ist in 2009. In olzono we will visit the Messner Mountain Museum before being transported to our resort hotel. From there we ll hike a route that will take us back down to the middle cable car station, where participants can choose to ride back down to the town for independent exploration, or continue the walk a further 4km down to the town. We ll stop for lunch along the way and hop a local train back to Monterosso at the end of the hike. (NOTE: as of January 2015, two of the trail sections are closed due to landslides and flooding in 2012.
