Here is the process that will lead you to the PKC sale. Stage 1 The OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) The OPK for Office 2010 is a set of tools and product files that assist you in preloading Office 2010 on new computers. By doing this you add immediate value for your customers, while getting the opportunity to sell Product Key Cards later on. Stage 2 The Product Key Card (PKC) Once preloaded with Office 2010 the PC or notebook is sold to an end user alongside a Product Key Card (PKC). This new licence type is similar to the Office 2007 Medialess Licence Kits, and serves as an everyday PC attach SKU. Affixed to the side of the OEM system builder pack or to the OPK Master Kit, the OEM System Builder Licence is a binding agreement between Microsoft and the system builder. Each card includes a 25-character Product Key that can be used by the end-user to activate any of the three Office suites.
