JOB OPPORTUNITIES Mildmay Uganda is a Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. Mildmay Uganda is also an accredited Institution of Higher Learning offering academic and short courses in health care. Job Title: Project Coordinator Head of Paediatrics Job Summary: The position holder will provide overall technical and operational leadership and coordination of a Project in 6 Mildmay Uganda supported districts with the aim of closing the Paediatric and Adolescent HIV treatment gaps through scaling up access to HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services to this population. Job Requirements: A Master of Medicine in Paediatrics and Child Health and a valid practicing licence with the relevant Professional body. S/he must have at least 2 years experience in project coordination and at least 3 years experience in Paediatric HIV service delivery. The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of Ministry of Health and District Health Systems as well as experience working in an NGO environment. 2. Job Title: Project Officer Project Coordinator Job Summary: The position holder will lead the planning, implementation, and reporting of all Community Systems Strengthening interventions under the Paediatric and Adolescent HIV treatment project to strengthen facility-community linkages for

increased uptake and retention of children and adolescents in HIV prevention, care and treatment services. Job Requirements: A Bachelor s Degree in Social Sciences/Development Studies/ Community Psychology, or a related field from a recognised university. A post graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management is an added advantage. S/he must have at least 3 years experience in project planning and management; Knowledge of participatory approaches to community mobilisation and engagement; Knowledge and experience in the district health service delivery and Current knowledge on HIV prevention, care and treatment issues. 3. Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Project Coordinator Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of all Monitoring and Evaluation activities of the Paediatric and Adolescent HIV treatment project to ensure proper tracking, measurement, documentation and reporting of project results. Job Requirements: A Bachelor s Degree in Social Sciences; Development Studies; Quantitative economics; Statistics; population studies or other related field with postgraduate qualification in M&E. S/he must have at least 3 years experience in Monitoring & Evaluation and preferably in the health sector; proficient in project implementation reporting and demonstrable experience in Qualitative M&E Techniques. Advanced computer skills in STATA, SPSS, MS Excel and MS Access are a requirement for this job. 4. Job Title: Project Officer-Care and Treatment (2 positions) Regional Manager Job Summary: The position holder will coordinate and offer technical support within the assigned Region/s, to scale up provision of quality HIV and other health services that result in improved health outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.

Job Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Medicine & Surgery - MBChB with a valid Annaul Practicing Licence. A Master s degree in Public Health or similar qualification is an added advantage. S/he must have at least 3 years experience in clinical practice/community health work; Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment with demonstrable Knowledge of Ministry of Health systems/district health service delivery. 5. Job Title: Medical Officer (2 positions) Head of Clinic Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for providing surgical and medical services to patients at Mildmay Uganda and within the communities for improved health outcomes of clients. Job Requirements: Degree in Medicine & Surgery - MBChB with a valid Annaul Practicing Licence. S/he must have at least 3 years post internship clinical practice with specific experience in HIV/AIDS care and management; Knowledge of the WHO and National ART, EMTCT and TB guidelines. specific demostrable experience in surgery. 6. Job Title: Nursing Officer Nursing Manager Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for delivering professional, high quality and efficient nursing care services for HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment (PCT) including palliative/rehabilitation services and provision of SRH services in order to improve health outcomes of children, adults and their families. Job Requirements: Diploma in Nursing/Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license. A bachelor s Degree in Nursing is an added advantage. S/he must have at least 2 years experience in Nursing with specific knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS care and management.

7. Job Title: Laboratory Technician Laboratory Manager Job Summary: Position holder will support provision of quality laboratory services at Mildmay Uganda, for patient care; training; research and health systems strengthening. Job Requirements: Diploma in medical laboratory techniques or any other related discipline S/he must have at least 1 years experience in a busy medical laboratory with specific knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS care and management. Registration with allied health professional council with Annual practicing licence. 8. Job Title: Supply Chain Manager Director Finance and Operations Job Summary: The position holder will manage the Supply Chain Management function of Mildmay Uganda ensuring effective and efficient functioning of all procurement and disposal activities of the organisation. Job Requirements: A Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management or Bachelor of commerce, Business Administration or any other business related field with Post graduate Diploma in Procurement & supply management. Membership of CIPS is an essential requirement for this job. Master s degree in Procurement & Supply management is an added advantage. Successful candidate must have at least 3 years practical experience in the field of Procurement and Supply management with demonstrable knowledge of Public Procurement Laws of Uganda in particular PPDA guidelines and regulations.

9. Job Title: Procurement Officer Supply Chain Manager Job Summary: The position holder will assist in managing the procurement and disposal function of Mildmay Uganda and provide technical assistance to Heads of departments and any dully appointed by Procurement Committee(s) on Procurement and disposal matters. Job Requirements: A Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management or Bachelor of commerce, Business Administration or any other business related field with Post graduate Diploma in Procurement & supply management. Membership of CIPS is an essential requirement for this job. S/he must have at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in Procurement and Supply chain management. Successful candidate will have knowledge of Procurement Planning, Budgeting, and Contract management. Knowledge of accounting packages preferably Navision and Quickbooks is a must for this job. 10. Job Title: Stores Officer Medicines and Health Supplies Supply Chain Manager Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for efficiently managing Mildmay Uganda s Medicines and Health Supplies stores to support achievement of the organisations strategic objectives. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Stores Management, Procurement and Supplies/Logistics Management, or Business related degree with post Graduate qualifications in stores Management,Procurement and Supplies/Logistics. S/he must have at least 3 years experience in Stores Management with Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals inventory management. Qualification in Pharmaceutical Supply Management is an added advantage. Knowledge of Navision or Quickbooks accounting package is a must for this job.

Job Title: Stores Officer General Supplies Supply Chain Manager Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for efficiently managing Mildmay Uganda s General stores to support achievement of the organisations strategic objectives. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Stores Management, Procurement and Supplies/Logistics Management, or Business related degree with post Graduate Diploma or a professional course in stores Management,Procurement and Supplies/Logistics. S/he must have at least 3 years experience in Stores Management with knowledge in inventory/ Logistics and Supply chain management. Knowledge of Navision or Quickbooks accounting package is a must for this job. 12. Job Title: ICT Administrator ICT Manager Job Summary: The position holder will work with the ICT Manager in ensuring the existence of an appropriate and functional Hardware / Software Technology infrastructure to facilitate communications on Mildmay Uganda activities, access to information on organisational services /events and programme update. Job Requirements: Bachelors In information Technology or Computer Science plus CCNA/MCSA or Post graduate training in software engeering/networking/database administration. S/he must be a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. S/he must have at least 3 years experience in ICT administration and support; Knowledge of Networking protocols with Strong troubleshooting skills.

Job Title: Hostels Warden Hospitality Services Administrator Job Summary: The position holder will work alongside hospitality services Administrator to assist in effective management of the Hostels by providing night support and weekend management of the residents. Job Requirements: Diploma in Hotels and Institutional catering Management, Hospitality management or Tourism with specific training in Customer care. S/he must have at least 1 years experience in Hotel reception management. Must be prepared to work at night, throughout the week.
