Help with online tests In order to run SHL ability tests the test machine might need some configuration: You need to make sure that you have Java and Flash player installed on your machine, as well that any pop up blocker is disabled. You can test your machine by using this link: http://test.shlsolutions.com/browsercheck.html Click on flash check page, if flash player is installed you should see an animation saying SHL flash Plug-in Test. <-- If this is not installed please go to www.adobe.com and download this for free (do NOT install google or yahoo toolbar when installing this as this comes with a popup blocker) Next click on Java check page, if java is installed you should see an animation saying SHL Java Plug-in Test. <-- If this is not installed please go to www.java.com and download this for free.(do NOT install google or yahoo toolbar when installing this as this comes with a popup blocker) Then click on Pop Up Check Page, Please note that there should be 2 new windows opening One reading Pop-up Blocker Test then a small square window should open reading Popup Window if this is not the case you have a pop up blocker enabled, you must disable this to complete the test. Google Toolbar Pop-Up Blocker If you have the Google Search toolbar installed on your machine you will need to switch the pop up blocking off. To switch this on or off you will need to click on the options button on the Google toolbar and check or uncheck the Popup Blocker check box under the Accessories Section. Please note: To confirm theses changes you will need to close down Internet Explorer and reopen it.
MSN Pop-up Guard MSN Pop-up Guard is part of the MSN Toolbar. By default it blocks all pop-ups. If you have the MSN Toolbar installed you will need to Allow Pop-ups This can be done by clicking on the down arrow next to the pop up blocker counter and selecting Allow Pop-ups. My Way Search Bar The My Way Search Bar may be installed on your pc but not viewable from within your Internet Explorer window. You may need to check the Add/Remove Programs list form your PC s Control panel to see if the My Search Bar is installed. Unfortunately you will need to de-install this toolbar and restart your machine remove the pop-up blocking from your pc. You can easily uninstall the My Search Bar using the instructions below: Close all open Web browsers From the "Start" menu in Windows, select "Control Panel", and then select "Add/Remove Programs" Select "My Search Bar" Click "Change/Remove" The My Search bar will be uninstalled. However, if you reopen your Web browser, and still see the My Search Bar, you may need to restart your computer for the uninstall process to be completed.
