Welcome to BELGRAVE HALL & GARDENS Belgrave Hall is a lovingly restored 18th-century former family home that has retained much of its traditional architectural character including original period features and detailing. It has changed hands many times but the owners have always played a major role in the economic, social and charitable life of the community. Over the years the house has been lived in, loved and altered to meet the developing needs of its owners and today the hall is an outstanding venue available to hire for a range of events. Whether you are planning your wedding, a family celebration, corporate event or need space for training or a meeting, we have several versatile rooms available for you to hire. Just off the Loughborough Road, Belgrave Hall and Gardens is regularly open to the public, but only on certain days, so we can offer you a truly exclusive experience. A car park can be made available for larger events. Disabled access is limited to certain areas of the building. Also, if you have a particular access need, please contact us. EVENT SPACES Ground floor William Vann Room Sympathetically decorated with a neutral palette of greens, creams and whites, this room has natural daylight through a large bay window giving views of the gardens. With a traditional fireplace and high ceiling, it is ideal for civil ceremonies and other celebrations. John Ellis Room Located across from the William Vann Room, this room is decorated in similar light colours. With its high ceiling, classical period features and bookshelves, this room is ideal for meetings and civil ceremonies. Entrance Hall The Entrance Hall with its stone floor and fireplace is a perfect space to welcome guests and serve refreshments. It has direct access to the magnificent gardens. First floor Eliza Ellis Room (also known as the Bridal Room) Located at the top of a beautiful hand-carved staircase, this room has stunning views of the gardens. With a floor to ceiling window, traditional-style furnishings and calm neutral décor, the Eliza Ellis room makes an ideal setting for a special bride s room - perfect for making those finishing touches before walking down the sweeping staircase and up the aisle. Charlotte Ellis Room A flexible and versatile space, this room is ideal for meetings, presentations and community activities. With views overlooking Belgrave House and the park opposite, the room also has interesting period features. Edmund Cradock Room Originally the bedroom of Edmund Cradock, the first owner, this is a warmhued room with views of the park opposite. It is ideal for small meetings, training and community activities.
OUTDOOR SPACES The Stable Block This 18th-century former stable block, workroom and laundry offers a quirky and charming space for functions. It has two meeting rooms and a professionalstandard kitchen, opening out onto an attractive cobbled courtyard. The area has plenty of character and offers a more rustic setting for your event. Kitchen facilities We welcome outside caterers and our converted stable block offers a full catering kitchen. A temporary kitchen and servery can also be set up in the grounds. The gardens The famous Belgrave Hall gardens are an attraction that draws in visitors from all over the country. The serene walled gardens change with each season and every month there is something new to enjoy, including colourful flower beds, fragrant Edwardian roses, ancient mulberry trees, a rock and water garden and a traditional-style fruit and herb garden. There is also a tranquil woodland walk to enjoy. Marquee In the summer, a magnificent marquee is erected in a dedicated space, just past the formal gardens. Its natural light and adjacent lawn makes an ideal setting for corporate meetings, workshops, summer parties, wedding receptions and other private functions. Garden games are available.
WEDDINGS From your first visit through to the day itself, our dedicated team will be on hand to assist and are happy to get involved as much or as little as you wish. Three of our unique rooms have a licence for civil weddings the William Vann Room, the John Ellis Room and the Old Laundry in the Stable Block all truly romantic settings for ceremonies with up to 40 guests. A bridal room with views of the stunning gardens is available for you to prepare for your special day. In the summer, you can choose to hold your reception and wedding breakfast in our magnificent marquee, standing just past the formal gardens and next to the lawn. to enjoy, always making a perfect setting for wedding photography. We welcome outside caterers and our converted stable block offers a professional-standard kitchen. Whether you fancy providing your own canapés and buffet or choose to employ a catering company to make you a traditional wedding breakfast, we have the facilities to make your dream reception come true. CORPORATE HIRE AND PRIVATE FUNCTIONS Offering a range of flexible spaces, Belgrave Hall & Gardens is a great choice to host your meeting, training event, workshop, seminar, product launch, drinks reception, summer picnic, family celebration or performance. Our venue has a range of room capacities, from meeting rooms seating up to 40 people theatre-style inside the hall and stable block to a marquee in the gardens for 90 seated cabaret-style. The Gardens & Hall have a maximum capacity of 350 for an event. For a detailed room layout and capacity list, please take a look at the venue facilities page in this publication. Your booking can be tailored to your own requirements. Outside caterers are welcome our converted stable block offers a full catering kitchen or a temporary kitchen and servery can be set up in the grounds. We have a selection of garden games available for you to hire. We also take bookings from organisations and commercial groups who wish to use our venue for events such as craft classes, ghost watches, murder mysteries and pop-up dining. We can offer discounts for registered charities, local organisations and community groups who would like to use our facilities (subject to venue schedules).
