5-14 Features, Dimensions & Photometric Data Operation: Status of the battery charge cycle is indicated by a series of five green Light Emitting Diodes (LED), each of which represents 20% of battery capacity. The level of charge attained is indicated by the leading green LED which flashes. The charge cycle is complete when all five green LED s are on. Emergency operation commences on mains failure or when the main supply is switched off. During emergency operation the remaining battery capacity is indicated by the number of LEDs which are on. The red LED begins flashing after six months from the last successful emergency duration test, or when during battery discharge a defective power supply or fluorescent lamp is detected.
