This luminaire is particularly robust and utilises a combination of an aluminium reflector and a prismatic glass refractor providing wide spacing characteristics and exceptional glare control. Two sizes offer the flexibility to use Vanguard for both high and low mounting heights. The IP65 version Vanguard Plus with a polycarbonate visor spun over the glass refractor make Vanguard plus suitable for applications such as the food industry or other clean areas.

3 5.3 specification light distributions The luminaire shall comprise of a prismatic borosilicate refractor onto which an aluminium reflector is spun. The optical assembly shall be suspended from the gear capsule by means of two sliding latches. Depending on the size of lamp used, a choice of either a spherical or rectangular gear capsule shall be used consisting of a two-part die-cast aluminium assembly suitable to operate a choice of high intensity discharge lamps, with electrical supply to the capsule by means of a plug and socket arrangement. The luminaire complies with EN60598, with an IP rating of 20. The luminaire shall be IP65 for wet location version only and shall be available with a polycarbonate refractor cover for food factory applications.
