FEATURED SPEAKER DR. FAROUK DEY Dr. Farouk Dey is the Dean of Career Education and Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs at Stanford University. He is leading the expansion of career education at Stanford and developing Vision 2020, a reinvented model of career and professional development for college students and alumni. Dr. Dey has held leadership roles at Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, the University of Florida, the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE), and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). His credentials include a PhD in Higher Education Administration, EdS in Higher Education Administration, MBA, MEd in Counseling Psychology, and BBA in Finance. Author of several articles and book chapters, Dr. Dey has served as a keynote speaker at many conferences in the US and around the world.

DR. RICHARD E. WYLIE Dr. Richard E. Wylie is the fifth president of Endicott College. He became president of Endicott after careers as a professor at the University of Connecticut, a department chair at Temple University, dean at the University of Colorado, and a vice president and dean at Lesley University. He holds a bachelor s degree from Plymouth State University and a master s and doctorate from Boston University. Dr. Wylie has authored numerous publications for professional journals, as well as monographs, book chapters, and a variety of children s books and curriculum materials. He served as President of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. He has consulted with ministries of education and government agencies in Ethiopia, Portugal, Spain, and Brazil. His accomplishments have earned him such recognitions as the Dr.Jack Mombourquette Award for International Education, the Dr. Richard J. Bradley Award for his contributions to school improvement through accreditation in New England, and he was named an Aspen Institute Ascend Fellow. He was one of the founders and first chairs of the Board of Trustees for the Urban College of Boston. Dr. Wylie led the effort to turn a financially unstable two year college for women into a great success story. Creativity, belief in applied learning, and academic rigor allowed the College to re-engineer the curriculum to include three required internships including one full semester long internship for all students, a senior thesis, and a strong blend of liberal arts and professional study.

DR. DONALD J. FARISH Donald J. Farish, Ph.D is the current president of Roger Williams University. With more than 40 years experience in higher education including 11 as a full-time faculty member, esteemed educator, scientist and attorney Donald J. Farish, Ph.D., became the 10th president of Roger Williams University in June 2011. Since taking the helm at RWU, Dr. Farish has guided the University in articulating an agreed-upon identity that defines the distinctive elements of an RWU education. As a result of that conversation, he launched the Affordable Excellence initiative, which has positioned Roger Williams at the leading edge of the national dialogue regarding cost, debt and jobpreparedness for today s college graduates. The success of that program led to an inclusive, university-wide vision process to establish aligned core values, a core purpose and university goal. Via his blog and other outreach efforts, Dr. Farish has established himself as a voice for the change he believes is needed to make higher education more relevant, more affordable and more accessible. In June 2015 he was the keynote presenter at UBThrive, a new conference created by University Business magazine, where he outlined six key factors that have caused the public and the media to question the value of a college degree. Prior to joining RWU, Dr. Farish served as president of Rowan University for 13 years, where he transformed the respected regional institution into a world-class university known for its innovative academic programs. Previously, he held academic and administrative positions at Sonoma State University, the University of Rhode Island and the University of Missouri. Throughout his career, Dr. Farish has demonstrated a commitment to teaching and learning, always considering himself a member of the faculty who also provides administrative leadership. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Dr. Farish immigrated to the U.S. in 1963 after receiving his bachelor s degree in zoology from the University of British Columbia. He holds a master of science in entomology from North Carolina State University, a Ph.D in biology from Harvard University and a juris doctor from the University of Missouri.

DR. J. KEITH MOTLEY Chancellor J. Keith Motley is the eighth chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Boston, a research university with 11 graduate schools and colleges and 17,000 students. In addition to representing UMass Boston locally, nationally, and internationally, Chancellor Motley oversees a newly launched and highly ambitious master plan and strategic planning initiatives that reflect the university s determination to remain true to its origins as a teaching institution while enhancing its standing in research, preparing its students to succeed in a transnational world, graduating significantly greater numbers to meet increasing demand for a well-educated workforce, and similarly growing as a source of knowledge and public service. Prior to his appointment as chancellor, Dr. Motley also served in various roles both on the campus and in the UMass System s office, following more than 20 years as an administrator for Northeastern University. Chancellor Motley serves on numerous boards of community organizations with local, regional, and national reach, including Carney Hospital (as chair of the board of trustees), the Boston Foundation and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation. As a leader and voice in national higher education policy, Dr. Motley was the former chair of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), and serves on the boards of the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Dr. Motley holds bachelor s and master s degrees from Northeastern University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Boston College. He also holds an honorary degree awarded by Northeastern University. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh s Upward Bound Program. He is married to Angela Motley and is the proud father of Keith Allyn, Kayla Iman, and Jordan Kiara.

DR. D. MICHAEL LINDSAY D. Michael Lindsay is the eighth president of Gordon College, an awardwinning sociologist and educator, and an expert on religion, culture and leadership. View from the Top, Dr. Lindsay s most recent book, was released in May 2014. It reports the findings of his 10-year PLATINUM Study, the largestever interview-based study of senior organizational leaders including former Presidents Carter and Bush, and hundreds of CEOs at the nation s largest corporations and nonprofits. Dr. Lindsay s Pulitzer-nominated Faith in the Halls of Power was listed in Publishers Weekly s Best Books of 2007. His work has been profiled in hundreds of media outlets worldwide, and his research has been funded through fellowships awarded by the American Council of Learned Societies, the National Academy of Education and the National Science Foundation. Since 2011, Dr. Lindsay has served as president of Gordon College in Massachusetts. He also serves on the boards of Christianity Today and the Veritas Forum. From 2006 until 2011 Dr. Lindsay was a member of the faculty at Rice University. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Lindsay graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University, and holds graduate degrees in theology from Princeton Theological Seminary and Wycliffe Hall at Oxford. He earned his Ph.D. in sociology from Princeton University.
