Frequent PGPPM alumni reunions provide a very special platform for public policy professionals. Nothing could have been more rewarding than this programme to a mid-career public servant like me to be able to re-evaluate, unlearn and re-focus my role in public service with contemporary emerging concepts and practices of public policy management at home and abroad. I strongly believe that what India needs today is management leaders rather than administrators in public service who know the business of bringing in transformational change while focusing on the transaction governance capacity of the public service delivery system. Ms. Jyotsna Sitling, IFS, PGPPM 2009-2011 Chief Executive Officer, Uttarakhand Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority, Dehradun. The public policy and management programme at IIM Bangalore has the right blend of concepts. The programme is designed in an innovative manner and delivered in a way that strengthens the public policy maker with enhanced managerial skills. The programme benefits professionals from government as well as non-government sectors as it offers innovative tools and techniques on public policies which is the need of the hour. The curriculum and the vibrant learning environment at IIMB helped me sharpen my administrative skills and offered me new perspectives. I recommend the programme to all those working in the government sector and the corporate world.
