3 THE HERO GROUP Founded by the promoters of the Hero Group, BMU is a unique and innovative educational institute which aims to transform higher education in India by creating a 'new age' teaching-learning environment that's truly world-class. The 50-acre, fully residential and co-educational, UGC recognised university has been notified under the Haryana State Private Universities Act, The university has been named after the Hero Group co-founder and chairman, Brij Mohan Lall Munjal. MBA in Business Analytics (in association with IBM) MBA The 2-year, world-class MBA programmes at the School of Management, BMU, have been designed keeping the i-value principle in mind. The curriculum has been formulated to ensure multi-pronged inputs to students through the iterative process of inquire-inspire-impact. The MBA programme, envisioned to develop innovative thought leaders and entrepreneurs who create value for their organizations and communities, aims to transform students through an exciting journey of inquiry, curiosity, and intellectual development; motivating and inspiring them to create a sustainable impact on the communities they work with. MBA in Accounting and Finance The MBA in Accounting and Finance, with a focus on Forensic Accounting, is the first of its kind in India. It has been developed in response to escalating white-collar crime. The programme is designed with inputs from KPMG - one of the world s leading consulting firms. This MBA programme is suitable for students with a commerce background; those have completed courses such as CA/ICWA/CS; and those working in the financial services industry. MBA in Business Analytics (in association with IBM) Business Analytics is a discipline that makes extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive modelling, and fact-based management to drive decision-making. Business Analytics is being used to solve complex business problems in a variety of industries from increasing the efficiency of hospitals to stimulating sporting contests. It is a burgeoning industry, currently growing at a rate of 35% per year. The programme has been designed in association with IBM. An IBM Business Analytics Lab has been setup at the BMU campus. IBM will be providing the relevant software and training based on Predictive Analaytics using IBM SPSS, Descriptive Analytics using IBM Cognos, and Big Data & Analytics using IBM InfoSphere BigInsight. Typically, students who are interested in this programme would have studied Science, Mathematics, and Engineering; along with the general audience. IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON During summer, you will pursue an 8-week credit-based course, which will include the option of spending 3 weeks at Imperial College London Business School. ON-CAMPUS CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE The learning experience will be augmented by exposure to industry-promoted Centres of Excellence, where you will work on the latest technology platforms and live projects with commercial outcomes. INTERNSHIPS In order to empower students with real-world skills and prepare them to deliver results from day one of joining a job, due emphasis is given to internships. Consequently, you will get an opportunity to intern with the industry for 8 weeks at the end of Module IV. Through such an experience, you will gain invaluable knowledge and life skills as well as forge connections with industry leaders that will hold you in good stead in the future.

4 PROGRAMME STRUCTURE - MBA The inter-disciplinary, application-oriented programme is structured around 21 core, 8 elective, 7 skill, and 3 perspective courses. These rigorous and comprehensive courses will help you deal with challenges faced by managers across a variety of businesses during different stages of an organisation s life cycle. CORE COURSES Core courses will help students grasp theory and business fundamentals, building a firm bedrock of understanding in fields such as Industry, Accounting, Organisational Behaviour, Management, Marketing and Business Law. SKILL COURSES Besides acquiring discipline-related technical competencies, students will also acquire a range of life skills needed to be successful at the workplace: Presenting, Communicating, Critical Reasoning, and Problem Solving & Consulting. ELECTIVE COURSES Elective courses will give students the freedom to explore and enable them to develop expertise in subjects that interests them. Students can choose from a wide range of options in areas such as Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations and General Management. ELIGIBILITY MBA: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum score of 50% Entrance exam score (CAT, XAT, GMAT) Work experience is preferred, but not compulsory MBA in Accounting and Finance & MBA in Business Analytics (in association with IBM) Bachelor's Degree with a minimum score of 60% Entrance exam score (CAT, XAT, GMAT) Work experience is preferred, but not compulsory PERSPECTIVE COURSES Perspective courses will help students see the larger picture, contextualise problems correctly, and acquire a better understanding of the core. Some examples of such courses are World Civilisations, Critical Reasoning and System Thinking. BMU CAMPUS BMU is a fully residential university that has been designed to seamlessly integrate academic spaces with recreational hang-outs in order to foster the spirit of community living and learing. Sprawled over 50 acres, the BMU campus offers a slew of recreational, fitness, and sporting facilities. Here, you will learn as much from your interactions with other students in student societies, debating clubs and sporting facilities, as you will from course work in classes, labs, and workshops. Such exchanges will help you form enduring friendships and make your stay at BMU a memorable one. The authority to shortlist applicants for a personal interview and make a formal offer of admission thereafter, rests with the Selection Committee, whose decision in this regard will be final and binding. However, loans will be sanctioned by banks after compliance of standard norms and procedural formalities.
