1 MIB SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT Trieste, Italy Master in Insurance & Risk Management General Information DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: 05 December, 2013 for non-eu citizens 20 December, 2013 for EU citizens MASTER IN INSURANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT START DATE: 14 th January, 2014 Admission requirements University Degree (exceptions only on rare occasions) Excellent English proficiency Strong personal motivation Although not required, high scores for the GMAT or TOEFL are appreciated. The GMAT code of the MBA is PTX-VZ-37. The TOEFL code is Applicants who have already taken these tests are invited to have results sent to the school. Applicants receive written feedback on the outcome of pre-selection. If all admission requirements are met, the applicant is invited to the school in Trieste for admissions tests and an interview. Admission tests Admissions tests and interviews may be conducted by phone in the case of applicants residing abroad. Admissions Interviews are divided into: test in logic-mathematics test in logic-verbal Oral Interview In the case of a positive outcome, the applicant may register for the course and start the procedure for joining the class.

2 Master in Insurance & Risk Management Admission tests Selections are divided into: logic-mathematics test (not requested if a submitted GMAT score is considered adequate by the School) logic-verbal test (not requested if a submitted GMAT score is considered adequate by the School) Oral Interview The decision concerning the admission of a potential candidate is made by the Admissions Board. The members of the Admissions Board are the Programme Director, a representative of the internal Faculty and the Admissions Officer. The board may include representatives of sponsoring companies/institutions. Tuition EUR (V.A.T. included) The Cost includes: Core courses and electives Access to e-learning platform and teaching materials Seminars and workshops during optional study tours/company visits Career counseling Access to computers and to the School's wireless connection Access to Bloomberg database Scholarships The School and company sponsors fund scholarships to cover total or partial course costs. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and on specific requirements indicated by the company funding the scholarship. Details of scholarships are listed on the individual scholarship descriptions. Evaluation criteria Significant professional experience Foreign languages Demonstrated managerial skills To be considered for scholarships, candidates must: Complete and send the application on-line to the Master in Insurance & Risk Management Meet all requirements stated in the scholarship description Send all relevant documentation indicated in the competition for scholarships Admission to the MIRM programme is independent from the scholarship process. When outcomes for MIRM admissions are announced, candidates will be informed if they receive a scholarship and the amount. 2
