Over the next several years there will be significant forces impacting the delivery of hearing aids. The local dispensing office has multiple touch points during the patient journey and each represents an opportunity to maximize customer satisfaction with their experience in your office. These touch points include your office environment, web environment, front office, testing environment and fitting environment. This lecture will also provide insights into the MarkeTrak results and how these can be integrated into your practice. Accessories are also an integral part of a successful fitting should they be appropriate, and should be included as part of the evaluation process. Testing (verification and validation) results are critical to the success of a hearing aid fitting. Time-sensitive test protocols will be discussed. FRIDAY March 11, 2016 9:00-11:00am 2 HOURS IHIS AND OREGON APPROVED Session B: Common Clinical Encounters Instructor: Ted Venema, PhD Description: We encounter routine findings everyday; but do we really know why many of these things occur? Here is just a few examples that will be covered in the seminar. Do we know the answers? Why do we have middle ears in the 1 st place?, If the middle ear adds 30-35 db to incoming sound how can a Conductive HL be worse than 30-35 db HL?, Why do we really have acoustic reflexes?, Why does Oto-sclerosis present with Carharts Notch does it truly show SNHL at 2000Hz?, Why does Menieres disease often present as a rising low- Hz SNLH?, Why does Noise induced Hearing Loss improve again at 8000 Hz?
