Shagoian Memorial Scholarship The applicant must be planning to go to college and major in music. A $350 scholarship is offered. Bob Koch Athletic Scholarship This is for students who have participated in sports and who are planning to further their education after high school. Brian Jones Memorial Scholarship The applicant must be accepted to the college or vocational school of his/her choice for the fall term immediately after graduation and Intend to pursue a career in Agriculture. Applicants who have been awarded a full scholarship to an institution (which includes tuition, fees, room and board) from any other source, or sources, will not be eligible to accept this scholarship. The applicant would have the opportunity to participate in a paid summer internship in agriculture. Clay Elementary School Scholarship Deadline: April 26 return to Counseling Student must have graduated from Clay Elementary, and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. All recipients must enroll in school prior to the spring semester of the year following high school graduation or forfeit the scholarship. Proof of college registration is required. Clay School Education Foundation, Regan Johnson Memorial Scholarship Deadline: April 26 - return to Counseling Applicant must have graduated from Clay Elementary School and meet the following criteria: plan to attend a trade school, community college, college or university; earned an overall grade point average of 2.5; submit one character reference from a teacher or mentor (no relation). The award offered is $500. Dennis W. Jones Memorial Scholarship - The Stump Award Dennis was a KHS 1964 graduate. This offers an award of $500 to a student athlete with an interest in football. The recipient of this award must have the three qualities that the game of football taught Dennis: hard work, the meaning of the word team, and the importance of good friendship. Hazel and Marvin Morine Memorial Scholarship Deadline: March 17 - mail to address specified Criteria for this scholarship: Attend a four-year college or university, be of high moral character ad ethics, preference shall be given, but not restricted to a person planning to attend a Christian college, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and two letter of recommendation. Hillblom Vocational Grant This application is for a student who is planning to attend an eligible community college or technical school accredited by a U.S. Department of Education approved agency. It is also defined as a two-year or less vocational/technical program, culminating in an associate degree (not a stepping stone to a bachelor s degree), diploma, or certificate, but less than a bachelor s degree. Student will be selected on academic strength, motivation, intent to
complete post-secondary education and financial profile. Awards are up to a maximum of $7,500. Holy Family Council 9213 Knights of Columbus Scholarship Applicant must be accepted to the college or vocational school of their choice for the fall term after graduation. Applicant will be evaluated on GPA, financial need, citizenship, school leadership and involvement in clubs, sports, etc. Juan & Elena Cuenca College Scholarship This scholarship is for a student with an interest in business, engineering, or biology. Student must be planning to attend any accredited college or university. This is awarded on the basis of student s career path, communication skills, academic goals and need for financial assistance. Award is for $500. Katie Trevino Memorial Applicant must be a Kingsburg High graduate and have plans to enroll in a 4 year college or university in the fall following graduation from high school. Preference will be given to a student planning to attend a UC and major in the field of creative writing or communications, but other college choices or majors will be considered. Katrina Carlson Culver Memorial Scholarship Applicant must have taken music classes while in high school, played an instrument and plan to go to college and pursue a major in music. KHS Volleyball Boosters Scholarship This scholarship is limited to girls. Girls must have participated in the KHS volleyball program for at least 3 years including the senior year. Students must also have been accepted to a post-secondary institution. Kings River Scholarship Applicants must have graduated from Kings River School and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. All recipients must enroll in school prior to the spring semester of the year following graduation or forfeit the scholarship. Kingsburg Catholic Women Club Scholarship Applicant must be an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Kingsburg, attend Sunday mass weekly and keep all church precepts. Must have been involved in confirmation/life Teen program and be accepted to a college or vocational school of their choice as a full time student. Kingsburg Community Assistance Programs Scholarship The application requires a written statement of educational and personal goals, and need for a scholarship. Also a current financial statement must be provided. Kingsburg Fine Arts Kingsburg Girls Softball Scholarship Citizenship, school involvement, GPA, and financial need are considered.
Applicant must have played softball, maintained a good GPA, have plans to attend college and have parents who have participated in the softball program. Kingsburg High Agriculture Boosters Scholarship Deadline: April 15 mail to address specified Applicants must meet the following requirements: To be eligible to receive a $250 scholarship, the student must meet the following requirements: 1. Conducted themselves in FFA in a manner deemed appropriate, #2 Be currently enrolled in an agricultural course at KHS, #3 Hold the chapter FFA degree, #4 Have worked 400 hours, other than class time, on supervised Ag experienced program, #5 Have participated in at least 5 different FFA activities at chapter level, #6 Have participated in at least 5 FFA activities above the chapter level, #7 Have participated in at least 2 different community service activities, #8 Have all record books up to date. To be eligible for a $500 scholarship, the student must have one only of the following to replace #3 or # 7 above; Hold the State FFA Degree or have participated in at least 2 different community service activities, spending at least 50 hours of personal time. Kingsburg High Aquatic Boosters Scholarship Applicants must have completed at least 3 seasons of any Aquatic Sport (swimming, diving, water polo) and be graduating with at least a 2.0 GPA. Kingsburg High Associated Student Body Scholarship This is for those students who have held student body class offices or club offices. A short statement of activities in school that helped to promote school spirit or made a difference in your school is required. Kingsburg High Basketball Boosters This scholarship is limited to seniors that have participated in the KHS basketball program. The applicant must have applied and been accepted to a post-secondary institution. Kingsburg High School California Scholarship Federation Deadline: May 1- return to Ms. Deis in Room 11 This scholarship is for students who have been a paid member of the KHS CSF chapter for at least one semester during their senior year. Kingsburg High Softball Boosters Scholarship This is for students who played high school softball at KHS. Kingsburg High Teacher s Association Teacher Candidate Scholarship The application requires current GPA, goals in wanting to become a teacher, and a listing of club and organization membership or leadership. Kingsburg Professional Firefighters Association To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be planning to enroll in a 2 or 4 year college or vocational school to pursue a career in Fire, EMS or Community Service. Kingsburg Tuesday Club Scholarship The application asks that you list school and community activities, honors, and awards. Also required is a statement sharing educational and person goals, and why you should receive this scholarship. One female will receive $500.
Kingsburg Youth Soccer League Scholarship The applicant must have participated in the Kingsburg Youth Soccer program and also must have participated in varsity soccer during his/her senior year. Awards of $200 are given to one female and one male. Kiwanis Club of Kingsburg Deadline: May 6 return to Counseling Any graduating KHS student may apply for this scholarship. The committee s decision will be based on assessment of a combination of the applicant s character, maturity, academic and extracurricular achievement; and involvement in school and community activities. Larry Hillblom Memorial Scholarship Applicant must be accepted to the college of his/her choice for the fall term after graduation and be in the top 15% of their graduating class. Those who have already been awarded a full scholarship to an institution from any other source will not be eligible to accept this scholarship award. Also required is a personal autobiographical statement, which also states your reason for applying for this scholarship. Rafer Johnson Junior High School Scholarship The Olympian Parent Club is offering a scholarship for a student that has been promoted from RJJH to Kingsburg High School. The student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, enroll in a post-secondary college or technical/vocational school, complete the application and write an essay. Rose Gong Memorial Scholarship To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must have had an immediate family member who has had cancer. The applicant must also be planning to enroll in a 2 or 4 year college or vocational school. Scott William Redfern Memorial Scholarship Deadline: April 15 - Return to New Path Center This $500 scholarship is established to encourage a courageous, compassionate, and committed high school graduate to become a tool for Christ. Eligibility is based upon being involved in one of the following criteria: A high school graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.0 who has been matriculated into a Christian post secondary program; a high school graduate who has been accepted to Joshua Wilderness Institute (Hume Lake Christian Camp); a high school graduate who is part of a Christian mission team within the next twelve months. Selma Adventist Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship A $1,000 award is offered to an applicant who is planning to pursue a degree in the field of medicine. Selma Masonic Lodge Deadline: April 1 return to Counseling The requirements for this scholarship are to write a one-page essay on the Masonic Lodge. Tell about a person, place, event, or personal experience which involves the Masons. Selma Trex Fraternity Deadline: April 1 - mail to address provided or complete electronically The Selma chapter is offering five $1,000 scholarships to deserving seniors for the 2015-16 school year. Consideration in selection is as follows: A student of Armenian descent. (List parent or parents) who are of Armenian descent and their Armenian family name);

Selma Valley Jr. Golf Club Applicant is asked to list extra-curricular activities, honors and awards, and also indicate college plans personal goals, and the need for a scholarship. Tague Jones Memorial Science Scholarship Deadline: May 1- return to Counseling Tague Jones was a 2012 graduate of Kingsburg High. He had a passion for science and would want to support anyone with a similar passion. To be eligible, the applicant must have an interest in Physics and/or another science; no GPA requirement but must be slated for graduation. Tri-County Family Medical Clinic Scholarship This scholarship requires information on GPA and academic interests. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6152 Scholarship Criteria for this scholarship are that you must have a family relative who is a veteran and provide a statement regarding educational and personal goals and need for a scholarship. Visalia Mineral King Masonic Lodge Scholarship Deadline: April 5 return to address specified This $500 scholarship is offered to a graduating senior who is planning to pursue their post secondary education at a two or four year college or vocational/trade school. A personal essay must be included with your application and must address the following points: service to others and what it means to you how you have given of your time and talent to assist others how such service made you feel as a person. Weston Anderson Science Scholarship Applicant must be accepted to the college of his/her choice (2 or 4 year) for the fall term immediately following graduation, plan to major in the science/medical field, and be in the top 20% of his/her graduating class.
