Competency plus a selection of Elective Units of Competency relevant to the Electrical Apprenticeship. Cost: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (Electrical Apprenticeship UEE 30811) Generally, the off-the-job component is completed over three years. Day or Block release Government fees (POA) All units of competency must be successfully completed and the apprentice deemed competent in order to attain a certificate. A WA Unrestricted Electricians Licence is granted upon application and successful completion of the apprenticeship. The essential 66 capabilities identified by ERAC and endorsed by Energy Safety are covered in the qualification. Cost: These training programs have been funded by the Department of Training and Workforce Development Certificate III in Electrical Fitting (Electrical Apprenticeship UEE 33011) Generally, the off-the-job component is completed over three years. The course provides underpinning knowledge of Instrumentation theory, calibration and processes through a webbased training program which is self-paced and supported administratively and technically by the College. The knowledge obtained through the online tuition is then applied in simulated workplace training units within the College in areas such as pressure, level, temperature, flow, transducers and application to analytical instruments. This can be undertaken once the web- Based programs are completed. Competency can be achieved through repeated undertaking of practical projects at the College or through workplace activities. Students should ideally have home broadband internet access. This is a self-paced course with a large percentage of the theory being delivered online at the students pace (it should be noted that online training must be fully completed within 12 months). Once the online component is completed the student can undertake the practical sessions and undergo assessment. Classes in the practical component will typically be run each month.
