PAULINE GOOCH EDUCATIONAL FUND The Savannah Community Foundation Recepients should be a graduate of an accredited high school, and be ranked in the top 1/4 of his/her graduating class based on grade-point average. Grants are to be based on need. Preference is given to graduates of a Chatham County high school to attend Armstrong Atlantic State University, graduates of Georgia high schools to attend the University of Georgia in Athens, and graduates of Glynn or McIntosh County high schools to attend any State-supported institution in Georgia. Counselors at McIntosh County, Brunswick High School, Glynn Academy, AASU and UGA 9 THE GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY TRANSPORTATION 10 THE GLYNN ACADEMY CLASS OF 1969 Provide annual scholarship for pursuit of a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree - Marketing, with emphasis in Transportation, from Georgia Southern University. The awards will be based on proven financial needs and scholastic performances. Provide one or more post-graduate scholarships each year for graduates of Glynn Academy in Glynn County, Georgia. 12 THE ALBERT AND DOROTHY JENKINS FOUNDATION FUND Provide college scholarships each year for, but not limited to, students at Brewton Parker College, Georgia Southern University, Valdosta State University or Armstrong Atlantic State University. The focus of the scholarships is on needy students primarily, but not exclusively of Appling, Bleckley, Burken and Screven counties, Georgia. The awards will be based on (1) Minimum G.P.A. of 2.0 and (2) Majors in english, journalism and communication. The Albert and Dorothy Jenkins Foundation Fund Scholarship 13 THE DORIS DORSEY JONES 14 KANDEL-PADDISON 15 THE KIWANIS FOUNDATION Provide college scholarships each year for needy students in good academic standing in high schools, colleges or universities in Georgia selected by the Exchangette Club of Savannah and PEO Sisterhood, Chapter AT. The awards will be based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. One or more one-year scholarships may be provided to a graduating member of the senior class at Herschel V. Jenkins High School. One or more one-year scholarships may be provided to a student entering or attending Savannah State University. Provide two or three college scholarships each year for graduating high school seniors in Savannah area schools. Ron Love Memorial scholarship committee 18 THE MARGE MAZO SCHOLARSHIP FOR MUSIC FUND 19 JOHN A. MILLS, III AND ELIZABETH W. MILLS TRUST Provide scholarships each year for the study of music. The Marge Mazo Memorial Scholarship for Music Fund Scholarship. Provide scholarships to graduates of Screven County High School, Sylvania, Screven County, Georgia. Each recipient will be known as a Sam Mills Scholar. will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, character and leadership. 20 THE ANNIE MORGAN Provide college scholarships each year for children of members of the Thankful Baptist Church. s accepted for children in need of financial assistance. 21 THE ROTARY CLUB OF SAVANNAH PORTER G. PIERPONT SCHOLARSHIP AT GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY- SAVANNAH CAMPUS Recipients will be enrolled in a course of study intended to result in a four year or higher degree at The Georgia Institute of Technology Savannah Campus. The Porter G. Pierpont Scholarship 22 ST. FRANCIS- TURNER- HATHAWAY SCHOLARSHIP $2,000.00 Provide a college scholarship each year for one high school student in public or private Chatham County schools who has been recommended by the school guidance counselor. April 15th April 30th Chatham County high school guidance counselors. 23 SAVANNAH BAR ASSOCIATION Provide college scholarships each year for students to encourage interest in the law and public service. The awards will be based on activities in and out of school, academic merit and such other criteria as may be established by the Scholarship. Savannah Bar Association scholarship 24 THE SAVANNAH BOARD OF REALTORS $1,500.00 Provide an annual $1,500.00 scholarship to be awarded to a student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah State University or Savannah Technical Institute. The awards will be based on need and the student will not be receiving any additional financial help, grants and/or scholarships. Counselors at high schools
