INVITATION Dear Colleagues, The IX MADRID BREAST CANCER CONFERENCE, will be held in Madrid, Spain, on November 16th-17th, 2011. Since 1995, this biennial conference has been a reference to all oncologists interested in the treatment of patients with breast cancer. And over 500 participants attend the Conference each time. Madrid Breast Cancer Conference is an integrated meeting focused on the most relevant and controversial topics on biology, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Leaders in breast cancer research and treatment will actively participate in the Conference with cutting edge presentations, providing the most updated data and stimulating dialogue with participants and other invited speakers. The main objective of this Conference is to perform a comprehensive review on this disease and to carefully review the newest topics and controversial points. LANGUAGE The official language of the Conference is English. There will be no translation. ABSTRACTS Authors interested in presenting data are requested to submit an abstract for Poster Presentation. Abstracts Deadline is September 20th, 2011. Accepted posters will be presented in Digital Screens. A modern digital system with tactile screens provides the continuous display of the posters as well as the individual view of the selected poster. The best poster will be awarded with 2.500. Poster authors should be registered in the Conference. TRANSPORT No transportation is foreseen from the airport to the Conferece or to the hotels. The underground station is next to the airport and taxis are very easily available at the airport. The selected hotels for the Symposium are at walking distance to the Conference Venue. CLOTHING Dress will be casual for all Conference events. INSURANCE The organisers will not be responsible for individual, medical, travel or personal insurance. Participants are advised to take out their own insurance policies. 8

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS FOR POSTER PRESENTATION Participants with new data relevant to Breast Cancer may submit an abstract to be considered for Poster Presentation. The best poster will be awarded with 2.500. Content Abstracts must be written in English. They must describe in a succinct manner the purposes and results of the research. Each abstract should contain: an introductory sentence indicating the purposes of the study a brief description of pertinent experimental procedures a summary of the data a statement of conclusions Titles should be indicative of the content of the abstract. Avoid non standard abbreviations in abstract titles. Abbreviations may be used in the body of an abstract if they are defined at their first mention in the text. Abstract length and format The combined length of the abstract body and title should not exceed 300 words. Format is as follows: Abstract title (capital letters) Authors (please underline the name of presenting author) List affiliations after the authors list. Body: Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions Submission The accuracy of the submitted abstract is the responsibility of the authors. Abstracts will be published as submitted. They will not be corrected. Authors are requested to read abstracts carefully prior to submission. Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail to Encar Fernández: m.e.fernandez@bnyco.com before September 20th, 2011. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.
